  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

The ads on the site help support the site too (assuming you haven't blocked em). Plus none of that goes to R-Spec. Just my 2 cents

r-spec appears to work for Hyundai, and I would assume is being paid by them to do this. The point is that were it not for this forum, we would not know about these discounts in the first place, so it is a generous thing to "give back" to the community and creator of the forum to ensure it will be here in the future. I personally thought that was a great idea since learning of r_spec through this forum literally saved me thousands of dollars. Also if you can afford a G70 you can afford to give a forum 20 bucks.

I'd assume he's doing it because he's just a nice guy instead of speculating an unconfirmed theory. Many of us can afford plenty of things in life, but it doesn't mean I'm going to go out and spend money on em. I respect your opinion and agree that many of us have saved money by having interactions here, but if the owner of the website really needed help paying for it, they'd make it known that the site cannot be funded through the ads and current support. To each their own

Do we know from the past whether Genesis does model year end deals or discounts. Like how Lexus has their Christmas time "sales event" every year?

The ads help, especially when supporting members move on to other interests - and that funding goes away, but they don't do much anymore... The forum store gets a buyer every now and then, but these days people do all their shopping on Amazon and eBay. Member support truly is needed and greatly appreciated. I'm just one guy - not some large corporation with staff meetings and shareholders - like hundreds of other forums owned by one or two companies. I need the support not only to pay the bills, but to cover my time.

Our supporting members help pay for server costs, software costs, upgrades to licenses for each of those as well as my time providing support for our members. What kind of support requests do I receive most? Here they are in order of frequency:
  1. I never received my registration verification email.
  2. My password isn’t working.
  3. I forgot my username.
  4. The Captcha answer isn’t working.
  5. The forum rejected registration because my username, email, or ip address matched a spammer.
Here are some examples of what I need to maintain on the back end, in order of frequency:
  1. Massive amounts of spam
  2. Movement of discussions posted in the wrong area
  3. WordPress updates
  4. vBulletin (forum) updates
  5. Plugin/Extension updates for WordPress and vBulletin
  6. Server updates and server software updates
  7. Server issues that I cannot handle myself ($90-150/hour)
Don’t believe anyone who tells you this is a simple, cheap and easy hobby. It isn’t. But when all is said and done – I love it.

I wish I get paid to do this.. That would be nice just to cover my time at least.. Also, I don't, and have never asked, and will never ask anyone for anything in return. A couple of forum members have shown their gratitude one way or another, but most of the time, I don't even get a simple "thank you" message.

Just like all the other people who are active on online car forums/communities, I'm a car enthusiast who loves being a part of online car communities and enjoy helping others.

So support this site or don’t as you see fit but don’t assume that the site can or will exist without your support. For those that have saved thousands of dollars partly because this site does exist, consider becoming a supporting or sustaining member. Just my opinion.

OK, I have been inspired and am now a supporting member :banghead:! I agree that both the content as well as r-spec's Circle discounts are invaluable. So in the interest of keeping this community strong and the website up and running, I'm in :) .

Although I am not planning to purchase until later this year, I have been learning so much just perusing all of the various topics. When I am ready to buy, I believe I will be more prepared to buy a car than I have been for any other event in my life, lol.

Well they *should* be paying you for it. As I said privately, thanks so much! I wonder how many sales you have personally been responsible for? I had assumed that your help with Circle certificates was part of a brilliant marketing campaign by Hyundai...it turns out the brilliance was all yours. (y)

Can’t agree more and won’t be purchasing a G70 until fall time myself. This forum has me well prepared for recurring issues and what to expect before I drop my money. The good, bad and ugly basically. How do you put a price on that kind of knowledge all in one place? Supporting member pricing is cheap admission so glad to help out. I’m grateful for the one man staff member who runs all of this behind the scenes. Anybody familiar with large IT departments will know it’s not an easy job to keep things running smoothly.

After a long search, I finally found what I wanted that wasnt a demo. I drove 2.5 hours to find one of the only if not the only Siberian Ice 3.3T RWD sports in my region (mid atlantic). Has every option for a RWD sport. Paid $45k pre tax, title, etc. + 1.9% financing. Cheers

The 2016 Ultimate is a great car but wait until you drive this. The first time you see the surround camera as you back into the garage you'll be happy with the change.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Funny, that 360 view is crazy and took me by surprise when it first came on in reverse. I knew about it but didnt expect it to come on automatically when reversing. Pretty cool but will take time to get used to it. Need an IT degree to learn all these gadgets lol

Got the car tonight. Here are some awful pics until I can’t get some better ones. It was getting dark and car sandwiched in a bad spot on lot. It was fun to drive on the way home from Seattle. About 200 miles of lots of paddle shift rpm changers and speed variability. Keeping the rpms in recommended range.
