  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 LED vs Stock Turn & Reverse Lights

just ordered this for reverse and this for signals
will update with result

question : will my car be out of warranty in case the dealer found out i replaced the light bulbs , in other words can they twist it against me in case of electric problems in the car and say that its caused by me using after market product ?
I wonder how the color would be, hopefully good. I also wonder if it will have more of a hotspot because of the "projector lens", but I bet it unscrews anyways.

As for warranty, I wouldn't think the dealer ship will care but I can't for certain but I wouldn't it mention it to them.

Ok anyone put the foglights in? Saw set on Ebay $63
They seem to be a process to put in, but they do look good, I wonder how effective they actually are.

Extra cost would be worthwhile if it matches the color better.

People with the LasFit, how does the color match?

Color is pretty much identical to the front and side LED turn signals. Just brighter. It all matches really well, though.

Which ones did you end up with and where did you get them? Thanks, looks good!
i ended up keeping the led's for now(right side)
im planning to test their quality for 10 min on hazards
then 10 min on remote start(slow hazards) for hyper flashing or failure or heat shutdown

also i quoted the post i mentioned where i got them

That looks great, and I'm still jealous of that fog light. How did you tighten the nuts when you put the headlights back in? Did you just go as hard as you can? I was worried they'd crack, so I went really easy at first, but I realized they were still loose enough to take off by hand, so I went back and tightened some more just enough to feel some resistance in the wrench, but not as tight as I could get them. Thanks in advance.

i'd give you my fog light for your nappa and brembos , deal ?

as for the nuts i noticed they weren't that tight by the factory when i tried to loosen them in the first place
so i went with simple star pattern tighten by hand while applying pressure on from the outside then just gave them turn and half a turn extra
also as hard as you can is never a good idea on plastics

I just installed these https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07RMGVZPV?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title and they look great and have been performing well so far.

The install was easy; thanks for the video Toddasaurus.

It's a good thing I decided to do this mod because I found some paint issues. The paint on the body under the edge of the taillight assemblies seems soft and was scraped down to bare steel by rough edges on the lights. I lightly sanded and applied epoxy primer (in the pics), then touch up paint, then clear. I also sanded down the rough plastic on the tails to hopefully prevent this from happening again. I'll keep an eye on it for sure. If I hadn't pulled the taillights, I wouldn't have seen this until it started rusting and running streaks. Luckily I dont drive this car in the rain or snow or salt.

I recommend everyone pull the tails and at least inspect.

Out of curiosity, has anyone considering getting a red bulb or tinting that part red?
Would probably look sweeter than Amber!

Matches good enough for me to the other LED signal lights. Nearly exactly. At least the blinking matches now and looks like it should have from the factory.

I thought about that. I think it would look great. There are a bunch of cars that have red LED signals. Wouldn't have to worry about matching the other amber lights on the car.

this looks exactly the same as mine (this)
i faced an error message when running them on remote start for 10 min's(slow hazards)

the message went away as soon as i stepped on the brakes then turn on the normal hazards on and off once
the problem seem to be caused by overheating

Yours look a lot different than mine actually. I ran mine for 10 minutes with no error. They came with a 1 yr warranty. Time will tell.

they even have the same pic's
you just got charged extra for box brand and cuz amazon shopper tend to spend more ;P
im pretty sure its identical in case of specs and component

turn them on for 10+ min under the sun and it will show you then error when overheating for a split second

mine as i mentioned act weirdly with the slow hazard on off time i think they don't know how to react to that higher load as they're made for faster flashing
to proof that i tried to do it this morning and it worked 100% turning the normal rate hazard takes away the error message
