  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Although this is in the wrong thread for our G80, I just want to publicly thank a couple of people on this very informative thread!

R_spec and nellie1289 have both made a huge difference in the purchase of our new G80. If not for nellie1289 suggesting that I read this thread in the G70 forum, I would never have known about R_spec and his offer to create a Circle A Certificate for people in this forum. That Circle A certificate turned this into the easiest car deal I have ever had to negotiate. The sales person at the dealer started out with a “We don’t discount the G80 3.3T Sport”, but as soon as I mentioned the Circle A, we were in agreement on the price. We ended up at approximately $2000 BELOW dealer cost PLUS the Conquest $1500 as we were replacing our recently totaled 2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate PLUS 1.9% financing!

EASIEST CAR DEAL EVER! Much thanks to the two members mentioned above and to the owner of this most useful website!

I’d like to second that. I haven’t purchased one yet but can definitely say this forum has been extremely helpful. Many of the questions I had were already asked and answered. And my recent questions were answered quickly and thoroughly! Very much appreciate that! Haven’t been on here long enough to reach out to R_spec, but even without that, y’all have just about made a convert out of me!

Honestly, my current dilemma is buy now or wait a couple more months and see what 2020 looks like.

:) This is the Circle A...purchase documents were “overnighted” yesterday. Because of the holiday (HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY Y’ALL!) they won’t be here until tomorrow.😟

I mean the car. Lol

It took me a minute to realize that was a g80. I couldn't understand how the MSRP of a G70 was $58k.

I will upload photos when it arrives...it may be a week or two before they can find a truck going from southern Indiana to extreme south Texas 😳

Here is the Dealer’s picture!

Fly up and drive it down ! Great looking car ha

Congrats on the G80 Sport! Gorgeous! 👍🏻😃

I've always had a soft spot for the G80 Sport. It's a luxurious, yet aggressive looking beast.

+1. Wish the G70 3.3t Sport had carbon fiber bits like the G80. Would've been a nice touch to distinguish the Sport a bit more from the rest of the 3.3s

Price increase this month? I bought mine last week, same car but different color ("build your own" shows no cost difference between the colors).
Circle A certificate shows MSRP $2,455 less.

It had been sitting on the lot for almost 2 months...maybe that accounts for the difference.

I had thought of waiting for the new g80, but decided that the last year of the version we have known and loved since 2015 would be potentially more trouble free than the first model year of an all new version.

Officially in the Genesis club!

G70 3.3T Prestige with Elite Package - Black with grey/black interior.

Some may have seen my posts in the lease discussion thread throughout the negotiation process, but to make a long story short, I set out to purchase a 3 series at $3k down and $450/month. After having negotiated that with BMW, I went and drove the G70 and knew immediately it was the car.

Shortly after, I discovered the low residuals and was having a hard time having anyone get close to my goal. The lowest I had been offered on the $41,120 MSRP was zero down at $569/month, which is $486/month.

Soon after I discovered this site, I was informed of the Circle A programand thought surely that would get me to my goal. The plan was to hold off until the certificate was obtained, however the dealership kept wanting to get a deal done. I didn't want to say anything but I then mentioned that I would be obtaining a certificate and would come back at that time. They asked that I come in anyhow.

After I came in today, they first said they couldn't honor that with a lease. I told them they could, and would expect them to honor the lease cash and conquest as well. After about an hour of back and forth, I mentioned I had to leave to go to work which was down the street. Before that, the manager asked me what it would take to get it done today, and I simply said $3k down, $450/month. Also said I'm willing to wait on the certificate. He then says, if I get it done without, do we have a deal. I say yes we do. He then says if I get the certificate, we can then look at it and if it warrants a better deal, we can adjust.

Being appreciate of their willingness to basically honor what I had asked for without it, I said I wouldn't come back with it. I leave and head to the office for a bit, then they sent the updated numbers. We had a deal:

MSRP - $49,120
Discount $4,340 (Circle A discount was $3,995)
Lease Cash $2,500
Conquest - $1,000
Adjusted Price $41,279

With a money factor of .00006 and residual of .52 (confirmed on Edmunds for zip as well), I'm at $450/month, $3k down for 36 months and 12k miles a year.

Amazingly, didn't even have to get the certificate. And with their discount, it put me basically where Circle A would've as well.

All of this would not be possible with the help of TurtleBoy and others on this site, and I cannot thank you enough! Showing me what the Circle A price would have been on this car is what made this possible. Thank you again!

Look forward to joining y'all in the Genesis club and contributing to this forum looking ahead.

Pics to come when it's not raining out here in GA!

^ Congratulations. Good luck, enjoy and be safe.

That’s an amazing deal! Congrats! Seems to be the best discount I’ve seen on a G70 yet.
Credit to the dealership, the salesman and manager. They don't give up on a deal and being in sales myself, I can appreciate that. Glad it worked for everyone.

Has anyone been known to get both a negotiated discount AND use Circle A + incentives? Seems like I’ve seen one or the other, but not both. Wasn’t sure if the dealer eats the Circle A in the same way they would a discount.
