  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What things don't you like in the G70?

Do the G70's not have the swing down hook in the trunk? I didn't realize that was there until I looked for it after reading Ernie3647's post. It is a nice little feature that I'll definately use. (Btw, I have a 2016 Genesis Ultimate.)
You can buy these on Amazon. It's like a cheaper copy of the ones that Audi use. I bought one and installed it. There is a spot under the truck where you can drill and screw it in solid. It's quite easy and you will not do any damage to the trunk as there is a spot where there is a hollow point and the metal is really soft to drill.

4 year old granddaughters car seat doesn’t fit with headrest in place.

My daughter's car seat doesn't fit with the headrest in place either. Had to pull it off.

^ You bastards !!! Now I am going to have hooks, shelves and now probably a piss trough (emergencies only) in my trunk. LOL.

Those hooks look sweet. The actual hook seems a bit small. Wonder if they have them with a bigger hook. I guess you can always slap an "S" hook onto it...which would make it easier to see anyway.

The hooks on these are perfect size. But...I wonder if they would mess with the speakers since they are so strong. My thought is that these are too strong...and probably distort the sound.

Honestly, the only things I don't like right now is the seats don't feel very comfortable. Still need to find the right adjustments. And also the gap between the top of the headlights and bumper are abnormally large. Would expect better fitment for a $50k vehicle. Might have to see what I can do to adjust the gap. Other than these two things, this car is so fun to drive. Been telling myself this would be a weekend car but I've been daily driving it for almost a week! Lol.

While waiting for the G70 to finally arrive to USA. I would like to start a thread of things you don't like or would like to improve in the G70.
In my case for example, one of the things I really don't like and looks to me way outdated for a "luxury car" is the incandescent rear turn lights.
What do you think?

LOL, what a great thread.

My 2012 Ford Explorer doesn't. When I first got the G70 and pulled up to a gas station, I'd forget to hit the button only to have the attendant ask me to pop the lid (yeah I live in Jersey).
Came here to say my 2013 explorer not only doesn't have a button it also doesn't have a fuel cap.

I thought this was understood. May be my ignorance but are there vehicles that have a push-to-open fuel lid with a fuel cap? That doesn't seem very secure to me.

If you're referring to the hooks in Post #946, note that they are available in a selection of strengths.

I'm sure you could get away with something less powerful or just glue/epoxy something in place instead. I wouldn't want to risk damaging the speakers.

Well...the problem is...I was looking for something with a bigger hook. Apparently...bigger hook = bigger magnet (makes sense).

So I need to dig more...or get the weaker magnet with the smaller hook and just get some "S" hooks to make it easier to attach items.

My Lexus GS350 had it. When the vehicle was locked, it also locked the fuel door.

I haven't checked out a G70 at that level of detail but, typically, when the vehicle is locked, the door that you push is also locked so you cannot access the fuel cap. Is this not the case on a G70? Every car I have owned with a push to open fuel door locked when the vehicle was locked.

The G70 does not have a push to open fuel lid, unfortunately. There's a button inside the car for this.
