Style. The tips you see on the back have nothing to do with the actual exhaust design. You could buy fake dual exhaust for your '53 Chevy six too. What I don’t quite understand is them adding quad exhaust on the 3.5TT. Why didn’t they offer that on the 3.3TT? If they do quad at least do not hide them in the bumper exhaust hole. Have them exposed.
Well I mean Type S Acura’s had quads on the V6. Also I’m aware of that I’ve seen multiple brands have this type of thing with the exhaust I just don’t like it.Style. Quad exhaust makes no sense with 6 cylinders.
A few years back I was asked to participate in a survey for Hyundai. One of the items they asked us to grade was the rear appearance with different exhaust systems. They showed two, four, centered, offset, etc. I guess quads was a winner.Well I mean Type S Acura’s had quads on the V6. Usually a mid-cycle refresh is usually 3-4 years after the last full redesign. In this case it’s a new model so i guess maybe 2021 as a 2022 model with lcd cluster hopefully, who knows...If this is a 2021/2022 facelift, when will they do a full model refresh?
I guess it is Genesis attempt to stand out in the luxury crowd. One thing I have noticed is that nothing is earth shattering anymore in automotive world. The single bar tail lamp treatment on the G90 I love and hope it trickles down to the G70. First saw this design on a 1988 Buick Reatta and I have been in love ever since. That mazda grill is terrible. Makes it look like a million other cars. I also dont get this split headlight and taillight design. Barf

Looks to me like the boomerang is different. Looks thicker! Maybe a more pronounced vent?
Also, my guess is that the top bar of the new tail lights runs the entire width of the rear.
No doubt the side vents are bigger. The tail lights seems to be the new Hyundai Kia tendency. Take a look at the new G90, G80, Sonata and just released Kia K5 (Optima). All of them have the same profile.Agreed, the boomerang/side vent looks different. Also, I think you may be on to something about the tail lights.
The vent is bigger you can actually see the holes while on the current model you don’t see them at all.No doubt the side vents are bigger. The tail lights seems to be the new Hyundai Kia tendency. Sure you can. Well...perhaps not from further away...but clearly there. The vent is bigger you can actually see the holes while on the current model you don’t see them at all.
