Winter wheel & tire packages?

Yep - well at least where I am. I know a lot of folks here that live close to the border have them shipped to an address just on the other side - I'm about 4 and 1/2 drive to the border one way. Here's the pics of mine - don't mind the background just got it detailed and finally have it at home so pics were at the back of the detailers shop. He did a great job - very happy with the result, don't think the pics do it justice but at least you get an idea of what the rims look like :

Is your car lowered or is it the angle? The wheel gap seems a lot smaller than others.

I saw that but as you pointed out, there is not a lot of reviews. Also people said they only received one. I might just go with it.

thanks!
I figured I could always return it for not matching the product description.

It's on a slight angle - I had to rush over to the dealership so I didn't get a pic of the back as I was getting my plate put on at the time (I could do it but forgot my screwdriver so my detailer was putting it on at the time I was taking the pictures). I can post some more later with my car sitting on a flat ground so you can see the gap I have. It's a 2020 model so not sure if there is a change or not.

I do know I'm missing something that I never thought to look for ask during all my test drives. I'm thinking maybe it's dropped on the 2020's or it's not available on the sport model (thought it was though) and that's the passenger side power seat adjustment on the side of the passenger seat facing the driver. I don't have it. Not the end of the world but I think that's a pretty handy (and smart) feature to have.

If you're in Canada they were never offered. Only real change here for 2020 was the addition of the power trunk. Oh, and nice colour.

That’s very nice of you. I have a 2020 so if it’s stock then we have the same gap ;).

you're not missing anything. As TO Genesis pointed out, the seat control for the front passenger seat is only available in theUS. I believe it was offered from lunch. I’m Canadia we don’t have that :(. My car is Canadian so we’re in the same boat ;)

Hmmm... I think I'd like the power trunk more than the extra seat buttons, if only because I use my trunk a lot more than people sit in the back seat.

Tire Rack sent me a copy of my paid invoice, along with a copy of a Pirelli mail in rebate I had no idea about. Thanks Tire Rack!

I've used them for twenty years. Tire Rack is excellent. I love their reviews/tests, good prices, and super fast shipping.

Oh I see - taking it back ;)

I bought the car in that color sight unseen. I trusted the pics I saw and the comments I read about it. Very happy with it as it's unique. Hopefully the road gunk won't show to much on it.

Yes I forgot there's some differences in the two NA models, which I find is a bit strange. It's too bad both options aren't available in both countries. But yes I'd rather have the power trunk (as Falldog says it would be use a lot more) and I like the fact I can lock the doors with it as well as close the trunk!

Here's better pictures of the wheels. It's +10 out today last week it was -17. Crazy weather time

Are those wheels the Fast Wheels FC04? Do you know if the offset is +30mm or +40mm? I’m from the States and don’t know if we have a supplier for them.

Yep those are the FC04 fast wheels. I'm pretty sure it's the +40mm offset

Got my winters and decided to weigh the stock Sport 19 staggered for reference.

45 pounds for the tire/wheel combo.

Interesting, thanks for posting your results.
I measured my factory 20 spoke 18x8" wheel with the original 225/45-18 Michelin all season tire (and TPMS) at about 48lbs.
It's surprising to me how much more those 19" wheels and summer tires weigh. It must be all that air you have in them at 55-60psi 😊
Those 5 spoke 19" factory wheels must be pretty heavy.

I have great news! I FINALLY got my winter tires. Also, as promised, here are the pics of some of the cheapest rims on tire track haha;)

I bought these sensors (Robot Check but I was also contemplating buying these Robot Check). I settled on mine just due to faster shipping. What I thought was interesting was how easy the TPMS setup was. Essentially they scanned them (with a tool that looks like this Robot Check) and then it said to drive for 'about' 40 seconds at a speed of 24 km/h (15 mph) and they should start working. I drove for approximately 2-3 km (roughly 8 minutes) at an average speed of 40 km/h before they started working.

I asked the shop how much PSI was in the tires prior to compare the results. They said they filled them to 35 PSI and the sensors were spot on (35 for the fronts and 36 for the back). Happy winter all!

If anyone is wondering of why I chose the 52933-C1100 and NOT the 52933-J5000, it's because it's the same sensor. I first saw it on this site: Hyundai, Kia Huf Intellisens TPMS Sensor 52933-C1100, 52933-J5000, 20281, 52933C1100, 52933J5000. I contacted them and they confirmed it. I hope that helps.

P.S. I have no clue why my amazon links say 'Robot Check'.
P.S.S the scanner link is NOT something I bought. Just linked it to those curious to know what it looked like. Most tire shops should have it.

After just carrying my tires, I believe the numbers! It's really odd how much 1" adds in weight....

I did learn something for TPMS. I bought these sensors (Robot Check but I was also thinking of buying these Robot Check). I bought the ones I did just do to faster shipping time. What I learned was how to set up the sensors. You obviously need the hand held scanner, scan them then drive 15 mph (I know I live in the states so imperial it is) or 24 km/h for 'about' 40 seconds and then it will read the tire pressures. I had roughly 3.5 km drive back home and the road speed is 58 km/h. There was mild traffic so I think I averaged around 40 km/h. After around 2-3 km, the message that said something along the lines of 'keep driving to sense' it gave me the tire pressures. I thankfully asked the guy putting the tire pressure how much he put (35 PSI) and it read 35 up front and 36 in the back. Happy winter all!

P.S. I have no clue why my amazon links say 'Robot Check'.
P.S.S. the 'hand held scanner' is something that looks like this: Robot Check
I'm confused - you bought ones that require a $218 tool to program them? Was this just to get them faster?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

I probably should edit the post as I'm sure it didn't make that much sense. I didn't buy the part; most tire shops have the TPMS scanner. I posted the link just so people know what it is.mlll

Gotcha

Got everything installed yesterday,

Probably should've gone gray for over all look, but as the stock are gray, I figured I'd mix it up for a a bit of the year.

- 225/45R-18 Perelli Winter Sottozero 3 XL
- 18x8 Enkei Performance Vulan with 35 offset

Road noise is definitely up, but I'll probably tune it out completely next time I go for a ride.

I only drive a couple miles on the way home from the shop yesterday, but I noticed that it seemed to pick up the TPMS immediately (I say seem because I just had the car serviced and I didn't think to check the pressures prior to the tire swap).

What's interesting is that I filled them to 36 front, 39 rear. But the info is showing 38 front, 41 rear. 2 psi higher. Is that just because I went from 19s to 18s, and the TPMS need more time?
