Picked up my 2019 G70 3.3T RWD Prestige over the weekend. I just had to get the Santiago Silver (not available for 2020) and the double bonus was that I was able to negotiate a great deal. SS is the best color, right Todd!
Here are my numbers:
The car had the following add-ons that were mostly thrown into the deal:
- Window tint
- Vehicle Theft Assistance (window etching)
- Door cups and edge guards (thinking of removing the door edge guards for aesthetic reasons and easier waxing - if I don't hit other cars with my doors, what's the point? open to thoughts on this)
- Crystal Fusion windshield treatment (doubt this is any better than Rain-x)
- Nitrogen filled tires (uhh ok)
The above extras totaled $1365, but they reduced it down to $140 for the VTA that they said could not be removed. I consider all of the above as not much added value except the window tint, so I was happy to pay the $140
The $639 of dealer fees included $499 as doc fee and the above mentioned $140
The $75 was for temporary 90 day registration. The car was bought out of state, so I now need to register it in CA myself.
The selling price of the car was based on the Circle A price $45061 minus $1443 of dealer discount = $43618
The dealer used the Genesis subsidized MF of .00008, so I was happy to not have to negotiate this down
Lease cash rebate was $4750 plus $1000 for competitive vehicle and $1000 end of year bonus = $6750. I purposely delayed pickup last month when this deal was negotiated as I was hoping there would be more Genesis rebate for December. Seeing the $500 rebate for Black Friday, I rolled the dice and lost when it was removed on Dec 3rd and no replacement.
Actual selling price including rebates was $43618 minus $6750 =
$36868
The 700 mile drive home was wet (rained half the time) and fun! Loved getting to know the tech features of this car with lots of pleasant surprises along the way:
- rain sensing wipers work great!
- smart cruise, awesome!
- lane keeping assist worked great!
- found a boost gauge! did not know it had one
- handling? on rails!
- seats? comfy!!
- acceleration, wow!!!
Car was bought at Genesis of Peoria in AZ. They treated me right and I felt the luxury car buying experience from them! Salesman picked us up at the airport in a G80 and had papers ready to go upon our arrival. The GM popped in for a chat and welcomed us to the dealership. He gave us a couple nice gifts too, great guy! PM me if you want the name of my salesman who handled my admittedly persistent negotiation with expedience and professionalism! Can't say the same for most other dealerships I contacted.
Lastly, a special thanks to
@r_spec for the Circle A certificate. As many have stated, he's been great at helping many on this forum. I would encourage others to send him a small token of appreciation for his time and efforts after receiving your cert. I truly feel his intentions are pure and he is not doing it for any kickbacks, but best to pay it forward and acknowledge his generosity.
