Man...there has to be another waycut and spliced in a switch

Man...there has to be another waycut and spliced in a switch
So what exactly does the switch do and what are the I'll effects of doing this. I read somewhere about holding up the emergency brake switch and launching , is this the same concept? (Not sure if the brake thing works , too scared to try.well i think i might be the first g70 owner with the burger burnout switch. needless to say i can smoke the tires instantly now going testing with a few buddies this weekend will report back on if this helps get the launch nailed since i can properly warm up the tires now.
So Iāve tried that e brake idea and got nowhere with it. I havenāt heard of any rwd problems cause once you start spinning the tires thatās all that happens. When you spin the tires on the awd cars I heard they try to transfer power forward and thatās where it goes bad. Only if you hold it to long tho. But my car did build up to about 10psi of boost incredibly fast. Probably less than 1 second is all it took. So it will be a fine line to get this launch down for me since Iām going to want to try and get off the line around 5-6 psi being rwd. After a good burnout and rear tires at about 18 psi Iām hoping Iāll have a chance of it hooking. If it doesnāt Iāll have to run the switch into the cab. Do my burnout. Then flip it back for normal launch control. Time will tell how itās going to work outSo what exactly does the switch do and what are the I'll effects of doing this. That's a terrible DA. Your car would be really fast near sea level in a cold weather. My DA is under sea level right now. Free power. Not exactly what I was hoping for but best stats my car has gotten yet. Had a bit a wheel hop all the way through first gear so I feel a better et is just a matter of time and getting the correct launch figured out. Track was at 2000 ft elevation and da was 3600ish Temp was 55 degrees and tons of cars so not being able to do a burn out hurt a lot when you have to wait almost two hours for a pass
Even with a bad DA, you could improve to mid 12s if you get 0-60ft under 2.0Not exactly what I was hoping for but best stats my car has gotten yet. Ya another forum member and myself have talked about making a trip to Cali from Vegas but unfortunately it seems the days we could actually run on a track are mid week so that wonāt work for us. Iāll stick to my horrible da for now and hope I can make improvements. Iāll be using my draggy this coming Saturday to hopefully see if the newest mod helps me get off the line quicker and keep tractionThat's a terrible DA. Thatās like me here in Phoenix. Iām heading to the Oregon coast this summer. Iāll get some runs in and see what I can pull.Ya another forum member and myself have talked about making a trip to Cali from Vegas but unfortunately it seems the days we could actually run on a track are mid week so that wonāt work for us. I might plan to try and hit the 1/2 mile event in Cali that happens around October. Would be a super cool experience for sureThatās like me here in Phoenix. Iām heading to the Oregon coast this summer. Iāll get some runs in and see what I can pull.

This is different from the e-brake method...which tricks the car into giving you a bit more RPM at launch. So what exactly does the switch do and what are the I'll effects of doing this. Now all we need is for Todd to make some adapters and sell on the forum. Lol but serious, no just kidding NOT REALLYThis is different from the e-brake method...which tricks the car into giving you a bit more RPM at launch.
Here...you are clipping one of the wires at the ECU. This wire is what tells the car you are holding the brake for a launch...thus maxing out the RPMās at 2,200.
With this snipped...there is no RPM limit!!!! Yeah...fme...crazy. So you can launch at 5k RPM if you want. Experience the car at itās finest.
Obviously...zero damage control. Donāt over rev...and donāt hold it too long.
With my JB4 on Map 3 with 99 octane...3.6 seconds is probably possible. Probably on par with the AF Gulia Q.
I think there is. You should be able to de-pin the brake wire from the nearest harness connector - but you'd need to be able to find an OEM equivalent harness pin to attach back into its place in the harness plug. After that you can custom wire up your switch the way you want it. If/when you want to undo your changes, you can bring it all back to stock without any damage.
I don't know where you'd get wiring harness pins, though, other than the junkyard from a stinger or probably some other Hyundai or Kia car. I'm sure there's a place online you can get new ones..
looks like off the brake switch if. We could find the right connectors.
Would appear the number 2 pin to the IBU (integrated body unit which I see Genesis calls the ECM as itās all one unit now. This may be the same wire. Worth a look.

Iām thinking the green / black wire is the IBU wire on the brake switch. If it is would be great if we could find the right connectors and make a jumper connector like we did with the 02 sensors.Agreed, definitely worth a look. If it's the same wire, it could be easier to de-pin and wire up a switch, all while also being easier to undo things without any trace.
Not sure if there is a connector in-between this and the ECU harness. If not, the wire color should be the same. In Terry's Stinger it's a green/black wire, apparently...
