Official 0-60 & 1/4 mile thread

Damn! I was there for 2 days shooting fighter jets at Nellis, if I knew, I'd stop by. We were standing on the shoulder somewhere by the gate 6-8
Oh dang really? I actually have a bit of work out on the flight line lately. We are tearing out the concrete that is cracked where they park the jets and replacing it with thicker concrete

Yep... the white pickup truck with 2 big camera/lenses on top of it was mine, rental of course, lol

I need to get that 60ft down to hit that 12. Oh well I was in the same pack as the srts and mustang gt run out here . @Vortex951 your car is just elite !!!

I didn't know you guys, were from Vegas, lol

Look up sometimes....there are 3-4 of B-52's they take off around noon and comes back 3-4pm ;)
They had 4 B-1 Lancers there about 3 weeks ago and so was Marine 1
 
I agree with you. Never been in an old school muscle car but this car gets up to speed fast yet doesn't feel fast. Sometimes on the highway I'll just give it a little bit of gas and next thing you know I'm past 90.
I know what you mean. I think it's because the turbo and modern variable valve timing give cars like the G70 such a wide, flat torque curve, they just keep pulling. The area under the torque curve is what counts. The old muscle cars had more torque at the peak, but maybe not as much across a wide range of RPM. They also had more traction problems.
 
So I went back to the track for test n tune. They do a much better track prep. Results show that. I still had some wheel hop but also launching at 14 pounds of boost. Video coming later today

I really don't know... I would guess maybe 12 seconds even? I don't know, lol. I don't have a road long, flat, straight, or safe enough to do the 1/4 in unless I go to the strip.

I think you are sub 12 Todd. You have all the right variables. Awd. Jb4. Exhaust intakes octane booster. And most importantly....... great DA. But I will say this. I will probably no longer be making runs on the street anymore. There is no compromise to a well prepped track. If you can try to get a solid 1/8th mile in and we will compare that time to my newest 1/4 break down. I feel like with the da you have you are gonna beat me to the 1/8 mile mark which to me make perfect sense

I just thought since your 0-60 was faster than Vortex951, you'd be about 12 even or high 11s but I don't know much about this stuff.

There is a lot that goes into it. Todd and myself have very similar mods that we have done. Awd should get the advantage most of the time off the line for platforms like we have. Where as rwd will have a better top end due to less drivetrain loss and less weight. But the biggest factor that is different is elevation. If I remember correctly there is a g70 on here that ran a 12.1 with only the jb4 and maybe Intakes. Might have been jb4 only. But they were at sea level. I have every modification you can do except primary downpipes. And my elevation and DA basically is like me racing on a flat tire compared to everyone at sea level.
I am pretty positive that Todd would be quicker though as we have similar set ups and he has the elevation and DA at his advantage. Does that upset me?? Not at all I’m all for g70 owners as a whole taking down the stingers!!!! But am I jealous?? You betcha I am lol. I think he could be a 11.8 consistently but only way to find out is if he can find a place to run or a track to go to. Which is up to him. I keep rooting him on cause I wanna see that happen for us being we all have seen the focus of our platform is on the stinger. If we can get similar times maybe get more people buying the g70s then that could open up more companies making parts that are g70 specific.

Good times for stock for sure. You got the elevation on your side once you start getting mods and a tune!!!!

edit- I need to come down to where you are running tho for that da. Any speedways near you?
