I don't know which harness you would need for the G90, and it could depend on the year. Well, actually I know it would as some of the older ones have hydraulic steering and are not supported. We would need to see a pic of the connector. The harness isn't complicated I built mine for their first "development" kit and it was easy since my car has connectors that are easy to source.
As to redundancy...nope. None other than you which is pretty much the same as the stock system. If the camera, motor driven power steering, electrical system,...really any part goes out it's gonna stop steering just like the stock system.
I will say that Comma takes safety very seriously. If you read (a lot) of the comments on Discord you will find they comply with a standard set for driver assist vehicles that even Hyundai Kia Genesis does not. As that standard requires the car to stop steering if you touch the brake or gas. George appears to have no tolerance for doing things that are unsafe. That being said as I always tell people sitting in a piece of metal going 75 mph is unsafe and if you add in there are other unknown drivers out there doing the same thing coming at you from the other direction with 6 ft of clearance between you and them when you pass ... well if we weren't use to doing it all the time anyone would say that is CRAZY dangerous!!! LOL
If you look where he has participated in conferences with other systems manufacturer you will see a different side of George I'll see if I can find a link. Trust me he is crazy smart and much more serious than he might appear.
