While a specific Australian suspension tune, the above review follows all the others (aside from MT) in saying that the GV80 with the camera panning system and the 22" wheels rides better than the passive suspension with 20" wheels.

Isn’t it only available on the top trim? I could be thinking of something else though but I’m sure someone will clarify.

All 3.5T AWD has it. So theoretically, the 20" wheels should still have a better ride than the 22".

That gv80 has presence! A looker for sure and will easily beat many in looks. People will Starr and ask what make

I waited a long time to try this car. Owned a 2007 Veracruz, 2011 Sonata Limited and a 2016 Genesis. I have seen a front legroom spec of 41.6". If so, that is terrible. I'm 6'-5" and fit superbly in the Genesis sedan. My daughters new 2020 Santa Fe has 44.6" front legroom. Sad. Considering a Cayenne. Drove a 2014 Cayenne diesel for a weekend in New England and really enjoyed.

Honestly love the beige combo interior. The 3d gauges with customizable dials look stunning. I love the korean design of white space and analogy of the bridge and building. The center console looks gorgeous with the light wood and glass controls. All white font colours and touch based climate controls.

One thing I dislike just like many people is the tachometer showing reversed.

This is a truly important product and Genesis is getting noticed. I used to love Lexus but they haven't updated many SUVs or sedans. That and being based on a Toyota overseas means your vehicle isn't truly luxury. GV80 would be perfect today as it's snowing heavily here

They say it's really comfortable, even in the top trim with the 22' wheels. They show a photoshop with the matrix hole pattern in the wheels blacked out and it looks pretty sick.

I won’t beat around the bush, then: the GV80 is good. Very good. The Korean brand has leapfrogged the competition from Japan, Sweden, and Britain, showing up with a mid-size SUV that can absolutely stand toe-to-toe with the German big three. The GV80 pulls off that tough feat thanks to a one-two-three combo of confident looks, an incredible interior, and a smooth ride worthy of the luxury realm.

In my opinion this is the sexiest reviewer ever. I first posted a review from her when she reviewed the G70 and she was a real hit. She’s back reviewing the GV80 now. Just wish they’d show more of her than the car. She could review toilet paper for all I care.

Last I looked, there was no Lexus brand in Japan. However, that does not mean that the luxury-level priced Toyotas there are not considered to be luxury vehicles. It’s pretty common knowledge that they didn’t see a need there for another division. After all, the founder was named Toyoda.

Think it was smart that Genesis erred on the side of luxury over sport, but at the same time, hope that a GV80 Sport is on the way for those who want more performance and handling prowess.

In addition, the 3-spoke wheel on the Sport would keep some buyers in the fold who totally can't stand the regular wheel design.

To start yes I agree. Eventually they will need a sport package for the gv80, I for one is hoping they do

Lexus launched belatedly in its home market in 2005.

Most Lexus models these days (at least the ones that sell - UX, NX, ES, RX) are based on FWD Toyotas that are primarily sold here.

The GS, however, shared its bones and powertrains with the Toyota Crown, which reportedly, will be discontinued in its current form as a RWD lux sedan - to be turned into a (3-row) FWD CUV, which will also have a Lexus version.

The Crown sold WAY better than the LS (or for that matter, the GS and LS combined) in Japan, so things probably don't bode well for the LS long-term.

Big reason why Toyota hasn't been investing in Lexus RWD sedans is that they don't sell in their home market.

Which is the opposite for Genesis in Korea; with the smallest/least expensive G70 being the worst seller.
