I just put Girodisk 2 piece rotors on yesterday. The stock setup with track pads did fine, but I wanted more cooling. Ironically, my front track pads didn't squeak when I drove them on the road for a week after my last event, but my rear pads - which are the Hawk Sport Plus, which are supposed to be dual purpose squeaked constantly.I do...I don't drive much (maybe 30 miles a week....fun driving is on the mc and I work from home), and have had no noise or excessive dust (yet). The G70 is great at everything....except the track. Too high and too much weight....I'm not sure yet if I should just get a semi-trick Miata for track.....or invest in further brake upgrade.
I'm going to see how it goes at the track next weekend. I bought a set lighter wheels and Potenza RE17-R's for the track. There's an inherent contradiction in tracking a sport's sedan these days because they are so heavy - even the M3 is heavy. If I keep doing this, I will eventually buy a used Corvette for the track, that way I can modify it without worrying about destroying ride quality and and adding a ton of NVH to a daily driver.
