  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Haha I did. But used plastidip so not quite that permanent.
This is just my own personal opinion. I like the idea of blacking out the car, but there is just too much chrome; Koreans must like the chrome trend. I too was considering making the wheels black or chrome and based on seeing your rims I will choose chrome for my wheels. Thanks for the pics

I agree there is definitely a lot of chrome. I went back and forth on decision to chrome delete because of that lol. I'm looking forward to seeing what it looks like at least. Not doing anything "permanent" so I can return to stock if I need to.

Just picked up my GV80 in Connecticut. I'm no car expert -- I bought it for the tech and safety features. But it drives very similar to my husband's BMW. The gear control is awesome.
My favorite little details are the top notch light colored woodgrain, touchpad, seat massage, and customizing the accent lighting. Only downside I've found is the small storage spaces.
hey i'm in CT as well, i picked up my GV80 this past Sunday 1/3 got it at Genesis @ Danbury, congrats on the purchase

Looks pretty menacing so far! How much will the chrome delete cost? There's a ton of chrome on the GV80, and the grill can't be easy to do.

Thanks! I'm excited to see it. He's charging $600. As for the grill, he's doing mostly the front facade, and large chrome bezels around it for now and we'll see how it looks. Having him do above/below of every individual lattice was gonna be quite challenging. At that point I might elect to just paint it

Wasn't able to vinyl wrap the roof rails without taking those off so we'll table that for now

Chrome delete complete (sans roof rails for now). Also did tint on front windows

^ sorry...not a fan. The chrome adds character to the car. Blacking everything out makes it dull. All most a ricer version of an SUV. To each his own ;)
To each his own indeed. I think it looks awesome 😁

Seen this GV80 in MD today 1st time seeing one in person I must say this SUV really stands out and looks good. I talked to the owner of it he had to be in his late 20s. He said he loves it and has the 2.5T but paid 60k. He also said they are doing 10k markups on the 3.5TT.
