I was interested in the vehicle from day one of seeing the prototypes and camouflage car. The official photos and the Asian Petrolhead review sealed the deal for me. So as soon as I could, a deal was done back in mid-June. Finally, I had the car in my garage. So far, I have not been disappointed. Is it 100% perfect? No, but no vehicles are. There will be failures, and every car manufacturer will have failures. One thing that surprised me was the public's reaction to the car. People are always complimenting and asking questions about it.

Same here. When I bought mine, North American reviews weren’t even out yet. Besides, there’s only one person who knows what’s important to me when buying a car: ME. LOL
 
I want to make it clear that I think that the GV70 is a good car. Nobody is going to say that you made a bad purchase regardless of trim on this vehicle.

What I am saying is that the value proposition just isn’t there for me at 65k, especially with the usual German vehicles being similarly optioned, sometimes costing less because of MSRP discounts and incentives.

I’m also looking for a sportier vehicle, which the GV70 was marketed as, having the eLSD and launch control. When I test drove however, I felt the car was bigger than it actually was and had noticeable body roll.

And yes, driving a car simply because it’s not a well-known luxury badge might be a shortcoming, but I think it stands on similar footing with the people who buy cars “just because there aren’t a lot of them on the road”.

Good to hear that you drove it. It did it not meet your expectations and you're moving on to something else. It's not going to be for everyone. Good luck finding your next vehicle.

Great! I was scheduled to get my GV70 in February (ordered in August) but my car has been sitting at the lot for 3 weeks now because either someone cancelled or car companies make vehicles beyond the pre-orders.

Never test drove one until I actually drove mine home. I read enough reviews that made me comfortable enough that I knew it would be a good driving car which now it's confirmed that it is a great driving car.

I did the same thing and never drove or seen the car in person until I signed the papers and drove off. So far, I've not been disappointed or had any issues with the vehicle.

This guy does great work..

Ironic that the Genesis wins due in part to it's "eLSD rear end" but that's why mine has been in the shop for a month. Cruel irony to be sure.

Print reviews are just so much more helpful than video reviews, in general. I think this one is extremely helpful. The HUD is IMHO the standout feature of the GV70.
