  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Remote start sequence on factory key fob for 2016 Genesis Sedan

Any news on hardware needed to enable remote start? Thank you

I love the blue link with Google assistant. Once linked together, you can just say “hey Google, ask blue link to start my genesis” it will then come back asking for your pin. Speak your pin and boom. Car will start. Of course all requirements still must be meant. Car locked and in view for command/signal aka not in garage with doors closed.

Or you could simply press a key on a fob, and the car will start. There is simply no comparison in reliability and convenience.

How inconvenient to have to be close enough to start it. I like being farther away, several floors up or out of line of sight so the car is actually warm when I get there. Also when I am father away I like getting a confirmation that it has act started. That’s convenience for me.

This may be attributable to the fact that you had them install a remote starter. Regardless of whether you are using the fobs they gave you or the standard fob both of them may be triggering the remote start that was installed, which would explain why it does not work for anyone else who has replied to this thread.
When I had my remote starter installed they programmed by fobs to be able to start the car if I didn't feel like using the remotes. I have a 2015 Genesis awd. The code was lock and then the panic button within 3 seconds

what brand remote starter did you use? With the news of the shutdown of BlueLink, it will likely be popular...

I don’t have a remote start on my Genesis but the sequence worked for me!

Didnt know this was possible with remote, I will try this on my 2015 3.8.

The Compustar DC-3 unit can be started with the Hyundai FOB.

Forgot to add... the factory FOB has a much shorter range than the fob that comes in the kit. I use neither as the phone works from any distance.
