Hi all. I thought I would ask here before starting my open thread to ask a somewhat silly question. I've been searching for a new car for over year now. I currently own a Ford Explorer and it is great for carrying people and cargo, but it's no fun to drive. My wife has a Audi S4 which I love to drive and zip around in, but I need a little more space. I've considered everything from an Audi SQ5, Audi A7, Ford Explorer ST and
Lincoln Aviator (going more luxury instead of fun to drive).
I have seen a few GV70's on the road but I have been able to find one on a car lot within 200 miles of me, they all sell before I can get to the dealership. Because I cannot find a GV70 on a lot, I have been unable to see/feel the rear cargo space. I know all the specs for the cargo space, but specs are one thing and how the space can be used is another. Ultimately all I care about is how a set of golf clubs fit in the cargo space. I know, it's silly. But 7 months out of the year my golf clubs are a permeant fixture in my trunk/cargo space and it's important to me the gear fits. My Ford Explorer purchase was made because the golf clubs could fit in the cargo space of the Ford Explorer length-wise or width.
I am well aware the GV70 has far less cargo space than the Explorer, but I was curious if any GV70 owner who is also a golf could chime in with their thoughts and possibly even share a pic of a set of clubs in the cargo space. I'm hopeful the GV70 has enough cargo space for the clubs and can provide a little more fun while driving than a full sized SUV.
Thanks in advance!
