If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Reported Issues with the Genesis GV60

The wiper is a big issue if you live where it snows which I do not, but as fancy as this car is with all the whistles and bells you would think that they would have had a rearview mirror camera.
I live in an area with tons of snow and also used to own an Ioniq 5. The lack or rear wiper was a big deal with the Ioniq 5 but it's not with the GV60. The aero effect with rear wing and angled glass works really well at keeping the rear screen clean. To me a rear view camera would just add unnecessary complexity.

Here is a confirmed issue with the 2025 GV60 and has now happened to us twice in the last two months, with less than 2k on the odo, and a vehicle that came off the delivery truck only a couple days before we bought it. The "12V battery drain after charge".

1. Plug car into home L2 charger under scheduled charging, set to begin at an appointed time per vehicle and app settings to take advantage of off-peak electric rates

2. Vehicle charges to set charging state - for us, 90% for AC charging.

3. Next morning - vehicle is dead. 12V AGM battery is completely flat. Requires a jump.

4. No DTCs, no status in the app, nothing - everything is clean and green, no issues reported.

5. After jumping vehicle, vehicle indicates 92% SoC, rather than app-limited 90% SoC.

The dealer tried to blame it on us ("maybe you didn't shut it off," "you have to lock the doors when charging"). This is the second time this issue has occurred, and after trying to condition the battery, my battery conditioner tells me "bad bat" and it won't charge past 6V. Others have reported a similar issue.

Service appointment imminent.

I think the post-charging factor may be coincidence. I had this happen once while connected to the EVSE and three times when not. First two times I suspected the OBD-II dongle I forgot to unplug. This last time, no OBD-II dongle.

The two peaks before the drain were 3-minute drives to and from lunch.

It's not unusual for me to find the car one or two percent higher than how I left it the night before. I think it's pretty meaningless.

I've never given a second thought to 89 or 91% after charging stops at the 90% charge limit.

The dead 12v battery issue is a massive PITA, though.

The dealer tried to blame it on us ("maybe you didn't shut it off," "you have to lock the doors when charging").
Say what? I never lock the doors in my garage, where most of my L2 charging happens. Never had a problem. Also, what does "didn't shut it off" mean? What is he saying you are supposed to shut off? I don't shut anything off. Never had a problem like you described.

I think something is wrong with your car.

I think the 90% vs. 92% indication may be "normal" and caused by a slight variation in temperature, battery voltage, etc, when the system gets reset. I wouldn't necessarily worry about this.
I agree. The battery calibration shifted slightly, no big deal.

But the dead12V is obviously NOT normal. Let us know what your service appt says.
No, the 92% only occurs when the 12V battery dies. It never happens when it doesn't. I also have a Polestar 2 - that never happens with the Polestar.

My cameras all are dead. I know it's not the actual camera issue or at least not all of them but I just get a green screen on dash and center display for any cameras Gone back to old school backing up for now Anyone else ever had this problem? rear view camera shows no signal on display when I reverse. I believe the system shuts down all cameras if one is not there but unsure. Anyone?

I’ve had my car for 3 weeks and it is in the shop for the second time for a dead 12v. What happened at your appointment? They found I have a bad part causing a slow drain. (I have no idea what they called it just a bunch of letters). It is back ordered with zero timeline. Also they are out of lenders so I have a freaking gas hog from Enterprise 🙄🤬

Don't feel bad about the gas hog. Every time I have had a loaner it was a GV70 3.5 turbo that got about 18 mpg. I spent more gas going back and forth to dealer than I spend in electrons all month for my GV60.

Usually the left and right cameras would go out, they would turn purple or green and then not work. It would reset after a while. But never all the cams at once.

I did some research and these letters sound familiar and the issue too. It is the ICCU. Just so happens there was a 145k recall on the part for all 23-24 gv60’s the last week of January 🙄. It sounds like the new ICCUs were not put in all of the already build 2025 models. There is no official recall for 2025 but it sounds like it is coming🤬. That is why the part is on back order they are busy replacing all of them on the 23-24 models. It could be months before I get my car back. Thanks Korea! So no reason to do the collateral swap. Another 2925 will just have the same problem😢

Had a similar issue with my Mach E. The main battery to motor connect was overheating and the contacts would stick. You had to limp it to dealer and then lanquished there for months. It is not only Genesis. All breeds of cars have these issues. Look at all the engines being replaced in 23-24 Tundra's and transmission in the late model Tacoma's. GM is doing a recall of the new Ultium EV's for something. I don't stay active on that forum. Doesn't make you feel any better I know.

Haven't got it in yet - it's my wife's daily and we have to take it 60 miles to the dealer. Local dealer is worse - they aren't separate from Hyundai yet and the Hyundai dealer ("stealer") are notorious criminals who regularly use illegal sales tactics yet somehow haven't been shut down yet and I refuse to set foot in there after trying that :poop: on me twice.

Very interested in the slow drain cause. It's intermittent for now - we now have a portable jumper in the frunk just in case. Sounds like I don't want to take it in and leave it, if there's no timeliness for a fix....

I know you have probably done so, but is it possible you have a light on somewhere that is draining battery or some sort of aux device. I am sure you checked that but had to ask. What about the frunk light....I think there is switch for that in frunk area......not sure.

Anyone know if all the cameras feed into one central processor or ECU? I would think it odd that one camera down would shut them all down.

Has anyone else experienced the following? When the car has been outdoors for more than a couple of hours in very cold temperatures (like, below 20F), the horn does not work. After blowing it several times it eventually seems to come back up to normal volume, at first very weakly. I experienced this recently when I leaned on the horn after being cut-off, and it didn't make a sound. Mentioned it to dealer at most recent recall update, and they found nothing, but they did say it wasn't the first time they'd heard about it happening.

I haven't experienced this with my GV60, but recently I was given a GV80 as a loaner, and the horn wasn't working on that car. Did some research and found this to be a commonly discussed issue with the GV80.

Nope...no interior lights on. Always peek into the dark garage to see what the status of my home charger is before bedtime if I'm plugged in.

I would get on the wait list for the part. It is the ICCU t bust was recalled on the 23-24 models. I am guessing they didn’t start replacing them while building the 2025🙄. Yeah I bought a charger too. The concern with me taking it back is it eventually causes the car to drop in speed suddenly. You will hear a pop the you will go from 60mph to 25mph.
