  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Free NACS Adapter Thread: Post Your Updates

Got mine today

Also, and this goes for everyone, report back how your experience with the adapter is. I've seen some reports in various forums and reddit with people having the adapter fail.

Curious if anyone has a similar experience in here.

Nope, works just as expected, I only charged a few minutes just to get the lay of the land on the Tesla SC.

How has your experience been with positioning with the cable. Where you blocking a spot in the photo you posted charging?

I did not block a spot, but only because there was some padding between the last stall and the actual concrete curb. See below, I was hugging that concrete curb which helped immensely

On road trips when I am stopping at rest stops I always make a habit of checking the Tesla stalls to try and identify if any stalls are situated in a way where you wouldn't block a spot. It would be great if we collectively created a listing of these locations (or if that resource existed on Tesla's own website).

That might be a good idea for PlugShare.

In the meantime, don't forget that you can look for 325kw chargers in the Tesla app/website. If a site says 325kw, it has the newer dispensers with the longer cord that doesn't require special positioning for the GV60. Unfortunately there's no way (that I know of) to search for 325kw sites, you have to check them individually.

What is the date of manufacture listed on your adapter?
Would you post the shipping notification that you received so that I know how to search my email? I have been searching the word "gift for you".

Based on my last correspondence with Genesis support, they are no longer sending "gift4you" emails. They are sending adapters directly to those who haven't gotten them yet in anywhere from a stated 12-16 weeks. I think it will just show up in the mail one day.

I finally received an email from Genesis. The subject is "Order Status: Your Genesis Gift Is Delayed" It states as above that I should receive my adapter within 16 weeks. I was placed on the "16 week" list on Aug 12th (as posted here) and I'm getting the email 17 days later? Seriously.

Look on the bright side. At least you got an email!

I have literally heard nothing other than correspondence from Genesis customer support

Ha! I need to test mine. Thanks for the info

Has anyone done a 10%-80% on a supercharger? Interested to see how long it takes. I know we are limited to 99kw

In the summertime when the battery is plenty warm, you should get the full 97kW (not 99kW) up to 80% SOC.

So do the math… 10-80% is 70% of 77kWh, or 54kWh. At a rate of 97kW, that comes to 0.55 hrs or 33min. Toss in some efficiency losses, and it will probably take 40 min or so.

Thanks! Not bad. Most road trips I’ve had to wait 20 mins for an EA slot to open. This will be nice for the next road trip

I received the same email last week. At least it is something after 4-5 months of nothing waiting.
