  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I am looking at buying the 5 or 6 yr platinum extended warranty (100,000 k/ $0 deductible) when I buy the '11 4.6. I'm interested in learning about how much people paid for theirs.

$1400 for bumper to bumper Hyundai warranty. I would not even look at third party warranties.

Some Hyundai dealers sell Hyundai factory warranties online. I would check that out first before negotiating with your local dealer.

$1300
for 10 (TEN) years, 120 months or 100K miles bumper to bumper Platinum.
(not the the 6 years)
Hyundai factory (the one underwritten by Fidelity)

Although I didn't purchase one, my dealer was trying to sell it for $1800

That sounds like one I would take. I think these things are negotiable. I'd rather get one when I purchase the vehicle rather than some company sending me something in the mail 3 years later with some sky high price.

$1214 For bumper-bumper 100k warranty w/ $50 deductible

Paid $1,895.00 They said it was "employee pricing". It was added in to the financing.

Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc.

I am happy to discuss with anyone. I can be reached at 312.476.0200

The dealer cost from Hyundai to the dealers is typically $850 to 900. Anything above that is pure profit. That is also how most finance people at the dealerships make the majority of their income as a commission on warranty sales.

Always check on line. There are many dealers who sell them for a couple hundred in profit.

I got a 10 year, 100,000 mile platinum plan with a zero deductible for $1365

Is this a Hyundai factory warranty, or a third-party warranty? I think most people are interested in comparing the prices of the Hyundai factory warranty. Some third party companies are notorious about not paying up on claims or replacing parts from the junk yard. Here is a thread about them:
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...-Extended-Warranty-Junkyard-Motor-Replacement

Newsflash: the only extended warranty they offer is 3rd party (JM&A). Hyundai does NOT administer or insure its own brand of vehicle service contracts.

Has anyone in southern California gotten any of these deals??

"Google"- "Hyundai extended warranties" and a bunch of Hyundai dealers that are selling them on the internet will show up.

For the official Hyundai Extended Warranty, make sure it says Hyundai Protection Plan (aka HPP).
