If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2012 genesis sedan - price paid

$41,000 for a Black R-Spec with tint, iPod cable and trunk liner. It was a GM's car with 2,000 miles. :D

That's not a deal..
Wow I would never pay 40K for anything with 2000 Miles on it, aside from maybe a 2012 M5 or a specific 550i.. It's a dream.

I'm kind of in the same situation. They have a black R-Spec with 2500 miles on it. Their asking 4100 with competitors discount..
I was reading the other forums and people are getting their R-Specs for around that price NEW. So i know I can get them down a couple k..

You can definitely pick up a new one for $41k. Join HyundaiThinkTank.com and you'll be able to get the Hyundai Circle price - dealer can't really say no!

;)

Is the Think Tank open? It was closed to outsiders last time I checked a few weeks ago.

I'll get you in. Let me work some magic.

My purchase was last November when supply was very limited in my region. Frankly, I was more interested in getting the right car than the rock-bottom deal. Looking at my name "EXBMWGUY" might also offer some clue that I did not want another German car. Your M5 or 550i with 2000 miles comes from only one place - a salvage yard.

You are kidding right, a used BMW should be given away as the repair bills far exceed monthly car payments. :welcome:

Bought last week a V6 with Premium and Tech list 44,000 paid 36,500. I got the 1,500 loyalty and 500.00 military. Paid cash so could not get the balloon finance deal. I tried to get them to let me do the Balloon and pay it off in a month or so to get the deal. My difference between a 2011 Sonata Lim, Turbo with Nav was not a big enough loan to get the deal so just paid it off.

Longtime lurker but I just signed the deal for my new 2012 Genesis sedan!!

I've admired the Genesis since it came out. I liked the look of the '12 much better than the '09-'11. However, the "ultra premium leather" was moved in under the Tech package for '12 instead of just Premium package as before.

Anyway, some good deals can be had right now and my car is now 6 years old. I decided to test the difference in leather between the base and the Tech. The difference in feel and softness is negligible to me. I also was able to see a dealer's 2012 w/ tech that he had driven for 6,000 miles. Well there was a lot of wear and creasing on the ultra premium leather seat. So I figured that because the regular leather is still very comfortable to me, perhaps it would hold up better since it isn't *quite* as soft a grain.

The other Tech features like Nav, etc. I just couldn't see paying $8,800 for.

I wanted a value. I decided on a black/black base model. After haggling with a few dealers over email for a few days, the last one right next to my work called me and said he could beat my price by enough to entice me to come in.

Total MSRP was $35,320 (wheel locks, mudguards, cargo tray)
Invoice was $33,442
Final negotiated price was $30,900
After Loyalty, Finance, and Motozuma, price was $28,400 + tax/title
0.9% for 36 months.

I feel like I got a good deal. This car wasn't sitting on the lot either. In fact it's shipping from the Port of Long Beach right now. I should have it within 3-4 days.

I will post pictures when I take delivery. I'm not sure what I'm going to do to it yet, probably just the rear emblem for now.

Pretty excited.

2012 Black Noir Pearl 5.0 R-Spec: $39,500, net of all rebates, destination, etc. except for local sales tax. (About $25,000 less than the only car I drove and liked more, the BMW 550i. I liked it more, but not nearly $25,000 worth!)

2012 Black/Black 5.0 R-Spec with iPod Cable, Cargo Tray, and Wheel Locks: $40,489 + TTL (includes 3k in rebates).

Hey everyone,

How does a 2012 4.6 for $36,535 after rebates and before sales tax and title / license fees sound?

Lease payment would be $398 per month which includes tax and license costs.

Down payment would be $3,000

Let me know if this is a good deal or not.

Sounds like a good price but I had rather have a 3.8 with tech & comfort package. Be careful about the financing. I bought one and when I started to write a check they added $1500 dollars to it. They told me that I had to finance it with them. Obviously they are going to make up the difference. They are also going to charge you with document fees.

2012 Platinum/Black 5.0 R-Spec with iPod Cable, Cargo Tray, and Wheel Locks: $41,225 after rebates + TTL...

Dealer wouldnt move below that and I was using my own financing so I couldnt get the $500 Hyundai rebate.

Might have waited a bit longer if the only other Platinum Rspec in the area wasnt sold last weekend and I couldnt find another in the DC area right now.

I also needed to get out of my 2006 3.6 4motion Passatt, I traded it with 99,180 miles... it was 3k miles out of warranty and I have been frightened since the day the warranty died.

I just purchased a new 2012 Genesis sedan 3.8 premium package.

Unfortunately in canada we pay much more for cars (and almost everything else) that in the USA.

I got it for 3% above invoice, which is just shy of $43000 plus taxes and fees.

Excited!

Saw your post on RFD, wondered how long it would take you to show up here. Lol. Welcome and congrats!

Welcome - we need pictures!

hi everyone,

so it sounds like the V6 with tech and premium packages AND TTL for under $40K out the door is very possible. i'm just wondering how much under $40K should i aim for? $35K? $37K?

thanks!
