i live in Dubai, UAE and we have very limited options for gen coupe here.
pls read on and i'd really appreciate any help from you guys.
i recently got to know abt the Genesis coupe. i always underestimated the car.. it being a hyundai
. but, lookin for a new car, i heard that the dealer has an ongoin discounts on the gen coupe. they are offering an 8000AED discount. the retail earlier was 124,000 AED.
so im getting the 3.8l with navi for 116,000. brembo brakes are standard in both versions.
and the only 2 options avlbl here are v6 with navi and v6 without navi.. all AT. we dont have MT being offered in the region.
i took the test drive of the car and i must say that i really liked the car, (coming from 4 cyl car ) it was pretty quick and planted. the ride was a lil firm but i can live with that. the brakes were kinda ok.. i expected more from brembos... but maybe i dint get to try the car all the way..
i also drove the challenger v6, 370z (as of yet)
i hated the challenger except for its looks and the 370z is out of my budget.
gen coupe felt nearly as quick as the 370z but the z felt more planted. but even if i could afford the Z, i would hav preferred the gen coupe for it being a li'l more practical for my use.
all in all i'm pretty set for the gen coupe.
now my dilemma is in the fact that 2013 onwards the gen coupe got a 348hp v6, however here in UAE we still are being offered the old 306hp engine.
pls correct me wherever im wrong.
im only tryina find out from ppl who have more knowledge abt the car to help me understand, how big of a difference will that be..
i have jus seen the numbers..
if you guys have any peronal experiences i would luv to read them.
