Anyone know the easiest spot to tap into an existing speaker for line level out to add an amp for a sub?
I tapped into my factory sub wiring at the sub connections. The bass control on the factory head unit adjusts the gain. It works perfectly for me.
I was going to try the same, but I can't find the wire. I can not find it on the underside of the sub.
The stock amp is in the rear fender in the trunk. I tapped into those wires.
Driver side rear quarter panel, underneath the trunk liner. As for which wire I'm not sure as I had it installed at a shop. I just stood by and watched. The part where the installer was actually tapping into the wires I gave the installer some space as I didn't want to have both our heads in the trunk at the same time. Maybe call an audio shop and see if they can pull up a schematic? I got the sub installed in my 2015 back in April and they already had the wiring diagrams available.
