In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. 2015 Genesis pic

Winner of my eternal gratitude. Heated wheel is the one thing I miss coming from my 7 series. I am really liking this new model and can not wait to see actual pics and get some details. Definitely considering a purchase!

Well... I hate to disappoint everyone, but that feature (and others) are not guaranteed to make it to the US market.

The KDM version of our current model has a heated steering wheel, cooled passenger seat, adjustable suspension, front camera, rear entertainment system with controls, etc etc. Those features never made it to the US. Heated steering wheel made it to the Canadian models (as did a faux wood dash panel).

So... I would contain my expectations until official announcements are made. Hate to be the party pooper....

^ If this is indeed true, that would mean that the 2013 Kia Optima would be more technologically advanced than the 2015 Genesis and that is one crying shame for Hyundai.

It'd be like growing up with a special needs kid next door, and while he makes CEO of a tech company, you're flipping burgers with a doctorate....

Color me stoopid :) but what does KDW mean? (I see it everywhere)
I'm guessing Korean Domestic Market but that's just a WAG

Re: 2015 Hyundai Genesis Interior Spied

Does anyone have any idea if the seats in the 2015 Genesis will be bolstered. The lack of bolstering in the Rspec IMHO is a huge mistake. I've been trying to determine what or how to go about changing my seats to add lateral bolstering in my 2013 Rspec.

I have not come to a conclusion of what is best to do so far, and thus have not driven the car but 2,800 miles since it is not easy for me to ride in the bolster lacking Rspec seats.

Thanks for the interior picture, and if anyone knows if the 2015 Rspec seats will be bolstered, please advise. I have even resorted to test driving a ATS with really nice power bolstered seats, and also test drove a 535i which has very nice bolstered seats also. I sure do not want to sell my Rspec, but I have a spinal issue and need the bolstering very badly. Regards.

Funny, my '12 R Spec has adjustable blostering in the seat back.

Crusty -- As 'italiabrain noted in his post you must mean adjustable lumbar in your 2012 Rspec?? I was referring to the side bolsters that are very much lacking on the Genesis Sedan. They keep a bad spine, and/or a good spine from slumping sideways, and also keeps you in your seat if you make a abrupt turn.

If your 2012 has side lateral bolster adjustments that would be simply awesome. Please let me know. Regards, and thanks for your note.

I assume folks already know this, but those pics look just like the 2015 Kia Quoris that is really the Genesis with the changes you noted here as well as seen in the pics of the 2015 Genesis.

After going to the Kia dealer while waiting for some unrelated issue, I talked to the Kia folks and they had no idea at all that the 2015 Kia Quoris will be out in early 2014 with the features that you listed in your note. Mercy, so when i got home, i happen to look at Motor Trend's October Issue and the 2015 was described, so i went to the website and all the details were there. The Quoris is really the Genesis with the exact same V6, and the same 5.0L 429HP V8 as the Rspec.

The Quoris has a number of extra features above the 2014 Genesis, but what really got my head spinning is it appears from the Kia Quoris website that the seats finally have some extra bolstering in the seats like the Rspec should have had from the time the Genesis Rspec was 1st envisioned by Hyundai. If I had been looking at MT over the past years I would have seen this, but i missed it.

The changes in the dashboard layout, etc., and the steering wheel in the pics of the 2015 Rspec on this site are essentially the revised Genesis and the 2015 Quoris. So if you want a better seat and some extras in your Genesis, i guess you just need to go to the Kia dealer in early 2015 and get your Quoris/Genesis. Again, i assume most of the folks on this site know all this, but i did not until I looked for the information. Regards

No, the Quoris is not really the Genesis. It's larger and it will also cost 50-70 thou. Yes, it will compete with the Genesis and the Equus. To the best of my knowledge, though, Kia has yet to confirm that it is coming to America.

2014 Hyundai Genesis EPA-Rated Mileage Drops Before 2015 Redesign
Genesis Gets Minor Updates for 2014
By Jason Udy | November 12, 2013 |

While the redesigned 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan is just around the corner, the rear-drive sedan gets new features for the 2014 model year, including updates to the Blue Link telematics system. EPA-rated mileage for the 2014 Genesis sedan, however, drops with the V-6 and V-8 engines.

2015 Hyundai Genesis Side View In Motion A three-year subscription of Hyundai’ Assurance Connected Care services is standard on all 2014 Genesis models with Blue Link as is Automatic Collision Notification, SOS Emergency Assistance, enhanced roadside assistance, and Car Care, which includes monthly vehicle health reports, maintenance alerts, automatic diagnostic trouble code notification, a recall advisor, and in-vehicle maintenance scheduling. Hyundai Genesis 3.8 models ride on now-standard 18-inch alloy wheels and use a revised power steering system that's said to be more efficient and deliver enhanced feel. Go for the 429-hp Genesis 5.0 R-Spec model and, for 2014, you'll get a heated steering wheel.
Although powertrains haven't been significantly changed, both engines have a lower EPA-rating for 2014. The 3.8-liter V-6 is down one mpg highway for an 18/27 mpg city/highway rating, while the 5.0-liter V-8 is now rated 15/23 mpg versus 16/25 mpg for the 2013 model. Spy shots of the 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan are shown below along with 2013 Hyundai Genesis sedan images.

The USDM Genesis should get a lot more kit as Hyundai is looking to establish the new Genesis as a much more viable midsize luxury competitor.

The base Genesis should get a good more goodies and the top trim will likely get things like HUD (need to compete with the V6 Kia K900 in features as well as the rest of the competition), tho things like rear entertainment controls likely won't make it across.

While no air suspension, the USDM Genesis likely will have an adjustable suspension setting.

The K9/Quoris (will be called the K900) has been confirmed for the NA market and should hit the dealer lots about the same time as the new Genesis.

Slots btwn the Genesis and Equus in size as well as in luxury (closer to the Equus) and price.

Will be available with both the V6 and V8.
