If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2020 G70 U.S. availability

Since the Sport includes the Prestige package I would think that it does.
Ah the 3.3T does have the sport include the prestige package. For the 2.0T, the prestige package is only for AWD, and the RWD sport package comes with the dynamic package instead for like the HUD, nappa leather, etc. I wonder if that means the 2.0T sport doesn't have it.

According to the info he received, it looks like only the 3.3 gets the power trunk.

So I should also note, that in looking at the sales brochure, all 3.3 cars will have 19" wheels. Standard, Elite, and Prestige will get the 10 spoke wheels everybody likes with RWD getting summer tires, and AWD getting all-season tires. The Sport will still get the dark 5 spoke.

AWD will get them staggered too or square?

Can you confirm that the info I posted last month (#33) is accurate? Any differences from what you're seeing on the order sheet?

The 10 spoke wheels are going to stay staggered. Only the 18" are all the same.

2020 G70 U.S. availability
I'll go through a brochure next time I'm back in our Genesis showroom. The only ordering I do around here is for parts. Our GM handles most of the ordering. But, from your list, I think most of that is accurate. I'll confirm the rest when I get time.

I have a buddy who was here in the US working for the same company I do, then he transferred back to South Korea, his native home. We still work for the same company and keep in touch for he knows I’m waiting for 2020 G70s to show up. He has a buddy who works at a dealer in Sacheon Korea who called HMC corporate folks to inquire about 2020 models for US. Appears a high performance G70N is in the works and due to release in Korea Sept 2020. The regular 2020 G70 is not yet even available in Korea and all my buddy could find out on US G70s is availability late this year or early 2020. My buddy also knows a HMC employee in California who said basically the same thing. One would think large car companies would have definitive schedules for 2020 models, know the daiiy output of the factory and when cars will hit the ship to come over to port. Maybe the average HMC employee just isn’t prevvy to that level of information?

Remember that the S.Korean G70 is a year behind...since it was release so much earlier. So our 2020 G70 is really their 2019...which is indeed out and has been for a while. The 2020 G70 (NA market) has been out in Canada for a while.

So...yes...the N.Korean 2020 G70 is waaay out still...which is expected.

So I see nothing wrong here...and am also skeptical of a G70N version since Manfred himself said it's not happening.

Genesis G70 Keeps Its Manual Transmission for 2020

Article says slightly higher pricing for 2020, but they say the 3.3T starts at $47095. I sure hope that's incorrect because the 3.3T started at $43750 for 2019, so that is a huge increase!

Perhaps they are no longer making the Advanced 3.3T? As the Elite starts at $46,495 now. Extra 600 would put it at $47,095. (Freight included)

Advanced is the base though.

Yes, but they are quoting a 600 price uptake on the base using Elite pricing. So I am assuming they either forgot about the Advanced or Genesis USA is making Elite the base trim for the 3.3T for MY2020.

Yeah...who knows. I’ll wait for Genesis to confirm. Then again...I got one...so I don’t really care ;)

Sleuthing for 2020 info, I found what appears to be the first incoming 2020 G70 for the US; listed at a dealership in Nebraska:
New 2020 Genesis G70

Picking the VIN from this ad shows this Monroney sticker:
https://www.genesis.com/us/en/servi...8-11-13&vehicleType=new&VIN=KMTG34LE0LU051534

Turns out there is a $950 increase for this 2020 Prestige AWD coming in at $50,950 MSRP with no accessories. For 2019, the same car is $50,000. So if you consider the mentioned $600 increase for 2020, we get the power trunk for $350, not bad!

Comparing the specs of this 2020 vs 2019 sticker of the same build, here is the difference:
- AWD for 2020 has 19" wheels, last year was 18" (we knew that already)
- Passenger seat for 2020 is 8-way whereas for 2019 it was a 12-way (correction: turned out to be false - thanks @danygenesis)
- Alloy pedals missing on the 2020 (apparently leaving this for Sport only or just missing from sticker)
- Electronic parking brake missing on 2020 (likely just not shown on the sticker)
- Power trunk added for 2020 (we knew that)
- Brown interior for 2020 (we knew that)
- MPG for highway dropped from 26 to 25
- 3 years of SiriusXM Traffic & Travel Link missing

So it seems the 2020 cars are either on their way via boat or already here in some undisclosed port location. 😃

Thanks for looking into it. Did all trims lose the 12 way passenger seat? Interesting.

If you look at the Monroney sticker the base price w/o packages and freight is $46,650 which is $900 more than the 2019 3.3T Advance AWD

The passenger seat is the same, the difference is the way is written, pure semantics.
The 2019 says
12-Way Power Front Passenger Seat Including4-Way Lumbar
The 2020 says
8-Way Power Front Passenger Seat plus 4-WayPower Lumbar

I am so glad that I have mine already--I love my alloy pedals; and I am, right at this minute, amazingly proud of the 12-way passenger seat (that I have never used--and which I understand may just be a semantic difference (per danygenesis)--but, hey, I am still really enjoying it). 😆

Oh, and nearly forgot -- I get so much better gas mileage than the 2020.
