  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2020 G70 U.S. availability

This makes me even happier about getting SS. Truly one of a kind!

Buy your paint now for Santiago Silver. 2-3 years, who knows?
As car gets older, paint color change due to be exposed to the elements. If you need to paint some part of the car is better to buy the new paint from a reputable paint shop able to replicate (exact match) your actual paint color.

The white looks more pearl.
That's what I'd be hoping for. Never been crazy about flat white/flat black on any car. Would hope the new black is more peralescent than before too.

So my dealer claims they have a VIN number and approximate delivery date mid-November for what I want. I asked them if they actually deal with the port or have visibility of what is coming in and was told they don’t deal directly with the port. Salesman said district manager knows when first batch of 2020’s should hit the dealer and supposedly since what I wanted was on their first allocation ordered several months back my car should be on one of the first deliveries. Time will tell. Probably not going to hold my breath just yet.

Today I had my first look at the new Savile Silver for 2020 and luckily they had a Santiago Silver G90 right next to it for comparison. After staring at it from a few angles and not saying anything, my wife said, "It looks nice". Then she asked what I thought... I hesitated for a bit and said, "Honestly I feel a little sick!" I've been shopping the G70 for some time and Santiago Silver was my color. Have not been in a hurry since my Infiniti still runs great, so was waiting for 2020 models to land before making a decision. As luck would have it, they discontinued my color for 2020. :(

So what's not to love about this Savile Silver for me? Well, it's a pretty heavy metallic and for some reason it just didn't sit well with me. I really prefer the Santiago Silver as it's a more understated look. It's not so much the color I don't care for in this Savile, but more the level of metallic that might look better on a boat.

Here is a pic of the Savile Silver and G90 Santiago Silver. Not a great pic, but at least shows the darker tint of Savile:

I will be wanting the 10-spoke wheels, so I will reserve final judgement until I see the color with 10-spokers and bright chrome trim. At this point, it's not looking good to me and I may either opt for another color (Adriatic Blue is my 2nd pick) or try to locate a 2019 in Santiago Silver if the incentives get good enough. It really sucks that after all this, I may have to settle for 2nd best... Frustrating.

Completely understandable. I LOVE my Santiago Silver, it is definitely a unique and classy looking silver. The Saville Silver looks cheap and generic (ie like every other silver out there) by comparison I think.

I kinda thought you'd feel the same Todd! ;) Yeah you've been through the wringer with yours, but at least you got a great color that is now a collector's item!! :D

Santiago Silver was my first choice but the one I found had over 200 miles on it. That's a lot of test drives! Ended up settling for HG. Still look at the picture every now and then though. ☹️

I have to admit I sure love my Santiago Silver. The new Saville Silver (2020) I don't think contrasts as well with the black pillars as the Santiago Silver does.

Sorry to hear you have to compromise though! I agree with you that the Santiago is better looking

I am so confused.

So the Canadian 2020 G70 has kept the same colors as 2019...which was the same in Canada and USA. So Canada does not have the new black, white or silver.

That is bizarre to me. Any Canadians have inside info on that?

On a good note...any USA 2019 owners with the white, silver or black...do not have to worry about getting paint in the near future (paint pens and otherwise).

Them Koreans are trying to confuse us. Be easier to manage paint operations with a standard color scheme than with multiple ones.

It’s definitely weird why they would have different colors within NA. The 2020 silver, black, and white are Korean spec from last year, correct? I wonder what the reasoning behind it is.

Appears circle A certs finally opened up for 2020 models. Only 2019 had been showing until a day ago. Texas is getting inventory now from Austin to the DFW area so getting excited I may have a big Christmas present for myself soon. Got insurance quotes similar to what I was paying 6 month premiums for on my Infiniti G37 and my Miata so that base is now covered. Hoping the discount for owning an Infiniti is still valid.

Anyone know if it’s possible to do a large or multi state G70 search from the Genesis web site? I’m waiting for a 2020 MB 3.3 sport and having plugged in zip codes from around Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana I find zippo. Wondering if that color 3.3 sport just has not made it to port yet? I’ve seen most other colors and the MB in the 2.0 but not the 3.3 sport yet. Google has not seemed to find one either but could be my search routine too.

I think the Genesis web page only has a few hundred mile range from the zip code you put in. You could always go to cars.com and search for the car that way. I think one of the options is no limit in the miles. This will at least give you some hits and you could go to the individual dealers web page after that. I'm just not positive if it will let you drill down to that level of detail or not.

One of my local dealers has a 2020 G70 in "Black Forest Green". At least that's what I think it was called.
