Here is the rundown:
2012 Genesis R-Spec 7000 miles, purchased new approx $41,000.
My only two hangups: A) NO AWD OPTION WTF and B) NO V8 RUMBLE, ALSO WTF (on the R-spec, really? it should sound like something)...
So I purchased the MSA secondary cat delete. This did absoloutly NOTHING and actually caused a strange exhaust leak noise under full throttle. Dont waste your money!
After Summit Racing failed to deliver my $1000 Borla order, I decided to go with Magnaflows 4.6L cat-back system #16497 an modify the rear tips to fit the 2012 model. Product cost $600 + $150 install (required welding at the tip). I must say the exterior sound is almost perfect, however the interior drone is excessive. I wanted to hear the V8 while driving, not feel like I was sitting inside a sub-woofer!
I will attempt to remedy this at a custom performance shop tmrw or return the vehicle to stock. Just wanted to share my experience, in case you are considering any of these mods.
