  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

AA & ACP release

I am downloading the update now, it is slow. You need a Mac or Windows machine to see the downloads tab on the web page, btw. It may also "choose" not to display based on the VIN.

I'm on windows 7 pro, using my laptop and I don't see sh**t, lol

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Do I need to subscribe to any paying service (ie: blue link) in order to download and use android play? I have a 2015 genesis tech package.

Thanks

No .. AA is independent of Blue Link.

has anyone come across the issue hat once you click on the download button it doesn't ask where you want the program to download. Does it automatically downloads to the hard drive or do i have to designate a download folder/ USB?

I have an SD slot, and the Hyundai program found it with no issues.
The first step downloads a small file to your DL folder, and when you execute it, it downloads to your hard drive, and finally once that is complete, it unzips and transfers the files to your SD card. The prompts all refer to USB, but it actually updates the SD card.

If you don't have an SD slot, I'd suggest trying a FAT32 formatted USB Drive, and then placing that into your USB slot. I think that will work based on the video online, but no one has confirmed that yet.

Did the update last night. Took one hour to download and 30 minutes to install. I just placed the push button to on and left the car off during the upload.

So far so good.

when you downloaded the update, did you specify the download to the USB or did it just automatically started downloading to it?

I have an Ultimate, so there is no AA or ACP, but there is an update of some kind available. I don't find any Download window on the MyHyundai website. Has anyone else done the non AA, ACP update? If so, where is the download window on the website? Also, just what is updated?

Yep, I have that alert too, but dont see anything to download...my car was built in July '15 so this september '15 date is still newer than my car

It goes to the HD then at the end of the download the program reformat the SD card and copy all files on it.

I'm a little disappointed that AA seems to render my Spotify offline library useless. Voice commands only work with Spotify while in online mode but that streams rather than playing from storage. In offline mode, it only alows a few touches (six?) before scolding and restricting you while vehicle in motion. I simply cannot sufficiently access my library.

While it's nice to have some of the integrated features and apps, there also appears to be some tradeoffs that may make me reconsider tethering my phone via usb.

Well I just wasted a gallon of gas. Their videos make it seem like you need to have the car running the whole time. Lame. Guess that's what I get for wanting to have this first.

So are you saying that you can't access your offline playlists on Spotify at all through AA or that you can, you just only get 6 clicks to do so?

The main app I will want to (ideally use) through AA is Spotify. I'm intrigued by the Waze integration since that's coming very soon as well but to a lesser extent.

I've searched YouTube to see if there were any reviews of the Spotify app on AA but to my surprise there aren't any in depth reviews I could find.

Playlists I can access without difficulty. Scrolling through artist/albums/songs is where I run into trouble. I was hoping I could just issue a voice command to play a particular song. In offline mode it gives me confirmation of what i want but then it fails to play and errors out. In online mode it plays perfectly but the data usage indicates i'm streaming instead of playing from local library.

If I wasn't clear, everything in the offline plays fine. It is just the ease of getting to what I want. I suppose i can stick to playlists for now.

Gotcha. Thanks. I rarely go to select a specific song...I just select a playlist I've set up that's "available offline" and then listen to that. If I want to skip a song I'll do it by using the control on the steering wheel. Sounds like I'll be fine then.

Planning on uploading the new update to the car something this weekend so I'll find out for myself how it works soon enough. I'll let you know if my results differ any from what you've posted.

It automatically downloads it to it. The first download (less than a minute) is the program, which downloads to your pc. Then, you run the program and it will not let you download the files unless the usb is inserted. Also, after the files are downloaded, it formats the memory card and then copies the files to it.
