  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Aftermarket Exhaust options!

You can absolutely modify your leased car!!!!

You just have to return it as you bought it.

I do it with all my leases. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
True. But of all things to modify, an exhaust system seems like too much of a hassle on a lease :\ But you could probably convince me :P

If you lease for a year...probably not. I’ll lease between 3-4 years...worth it for me. I’ll be doing the piggyback as well.

I do plan to do the piggyback as well. I'd also do 3-4 years. For an exhaust, it's something I'd have to hear on another G70 in person before I pull the trigger since yeah, the shop recordings are all just meh.

Exactly. If it sounds good...I will just leave it. But...I do love the way an M3 or an AMG sounds. I do NOT want the sound of a pimped out Civic or WRX though. Something more Euro and mature :)

Lol, i would not talk about the piggyback too much on these forums as Genesis reps are on here frequently and most likely know who u are haha

This one, for the Stinger, sounds pretty good to me. Not too loud or obnoxious, has a decent tone. That said, I know there will be some good choices for the G70 after some shops get their hands on the car in the US....

But, for me, it's more than just sound. I need something that produces solid power gains throughout the entire rev range. It may a little while before the right exhaust comes around, but it's certainly something I'll be waiting for.

That does sound good...but I would think there would be a little more rasp. Perhaps even a crackle/pop somewhere.

there is no crackle/pop for sure. from the inside, once you turned on the sound enhancement (fake sound i call it, and i hate how many manufactures are doing it), it sounds good, but then again it is fake. from the outside, the exhaust doesn't sound special at all, just pretty normal/ordinary, don't expect anything sporty from the exhaust.

the only time when you hear some hints of sporty-ness from the exhaust is when you first start the car in the day. that's it.

Everybody has different desires for their exhaust... me personally, as long I can hear the RPMs inside the car (fake or not) and it sounds good to me and my friends I am driving around, I'm happy... the outside note is secondary to my desires. I am buying this car for my own enjoyment.

Just to clarify, I'm not hating on anyone who enjoys the Rice Krispies, I'm just giving my own two cents on differing opinions!!

Some like ribeye and some like a NY strip, some like bud and some like miller............

After going through all these threads like crazy over the past couple weeks, I think the only thing we can actually agree on is that the G70 is a helluva machine!!

That is the best sounding one yet.

Does sound good. What is that rattle noise when idling down? I have heard it on a few stinger exhaust. What brand is it?
I'm not sure... maybe a damper closing? I admittedly have absolutely zero (negative if it's possible) expertise in the mechanics of exhaust systems so that is literally the biggest guess in the history of guesses...

As for the brand: I'm not sure. The post says it is Ibeworks Valvetronic Exhaust. I did a Google search and a bunch of Korean stuff came up so I'm assuming it is a Korean company or something. But there was no discernible website to go order anything or even look at anything so again I literally have no clue. All I know is I'd like to get my hands on that exhaust for the G70!

One of the reasons I have stayed away from Japanese cars. Their owners seem to do the tackiest shit to their cars. Not my taste at all. Hopefully the G70 owners don't go too crazy...

That's a perfectly beautiful car ruined right there...

I love it !!
I would still prefer illuminated door sills though

I wonder if those replacement arms have pillow ball spherical bearing bushings... May be a nice little upgrade in terms of road feel and handling.
