  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

All genesis owners big brother is here!

Wow. Best thing that ever happened to the Equus.

Wow, Nice car for sure.

I wonder how they are going to handle the Genesis brand thing. Are all the cars going to be Genesis but the model numbers different? Sure looks like it.

Yup - it was in the press release a few weeks ago:

https://www.hyundaiusa.com/about-hyundai/news/Corporate_HYUNDAI_MOTOR_LAUNCHES_NEW_GLOBAL_LUXURY_BRAND_GENESIS-20151104.aspx

In it they state "The Genesis brand will also adopt a new alphanumeric naming structure. Future models will be named by combining the letter ‘G’ for Genesis with a number, 90, 80 or 70 etc., representing the segment".

yeah. Now it's as ugly as the G2.

My dealer informed me this morning that Equus and Genesis will be housed separately in the near future.

What does "housed" mean?

This is the prt of the announcement I liked best...

"From mid-2016 Luc Donckerwolke, who was previously responsible for the design of Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, SEAT and Skoda models at the Volkswagen Group, will lead this new division alongside his role as Head of the Hyundai Motor Design Center."

You can tell it is the Equus replacement, it has a bigger analog clock.

A little disappointing they did this to the 3.3L. Now if they biturbo the 5.0. :D:D:D

I believe this is coming with an N-Performance model (disclaimer: this is just speculation on my part; I have not seen or heard anything to suggest this is happening).
