If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Any lowering springs for 2015 Genesis sedan?

Just emailed ark GT-S Springs for 2015 Genesis Sedan 5.0 (V8) are not available till late March

ARK contacted me to let me know they had an opening a day early for install. As promised here are pics of the car on the new set of springs. As mentioned earlier, these are gold and are confirmed to be slotting in with their GT-S line. Their GT-S line is a lot more aggressive than their orange GT-F line, which I suspect I had on before these although it was never confirmed.

The springs I had on before measured 27.5" from the ground, through the wheel centercap, to the apex of the wheelwell arch. These new springs measure 26.75" using the same reference points. Unfortunately, I did not measure what the stock height was so I do not know how much lower the car actually is.

According to the guys at ARK, the first springs only lowered the car 0.75" while these lowered it 1.3"-1.5". Again, I could not verify this because I did not take before measurements when it was stock. Maybe somebody who is stock can measure using my same reference points and let us know how much of a drop it really is.

Overall, I am extremely happy this time around with the drop, as the wheels are visually flush with the fender. There was no rubbing whatsoever from any corners, even at full lock. The ride is surprisingly even more comfortable than it was with the other springs. These are not stiff in the least bit and I am definitely not riding on the bump-stops.

Royal,
I searched before asking about this, but what size tires are you running and what is your offset?

I will be purchasing a new set of summer wheels and lowering springs soon and I'm trying to find out what is the max tire size/offset I can run without rubbing after lowering the vehicle. I'm going to wait for ARK to release the GT-S springs you got and I will also be running 20's.

My biggest hold back is figuring out a way for my wife not to look at the CC statement this month

My wheels are 20x9 +30 square, with a 255/35/20 tire. I have no rubbing issues in the rear, but as the springs settled the fronts would occasionally rub when making hard turns. I had to get a mild fender roll and pull done to eliminate that.

If you are planning on running a staggered setup, I'm not sure what the dimensions on the rear should be to avoid rubbing.

Thanks for the information. Yea I was thinking about running staggered and Tire Rack was telling to run 295/30/20 but I'm pretty sure that will rub. I was thinking of 255/35/20 up front and then 275/30/20 in the rear. Wheels I'm looking are 20 x 8.5 ET+38 fronts and 20 x 10 ET+42. So in the front you are rubbing more on the outside fender are? I hate doing fender rolls.

FYI, I just got an email back from ARK about the spring and they replied back that they will be available next week. I almost bought the Storm springs but now I might wait. BTW, I only asked about the V6 model. I hope they fall under the tax refund sale going on now.

LOL!! That's my car!

I have larger wheels up front with Ark GT-F springs and no fender-rolling necessary.

I just placed the order to the ARK springs. I ordered my new set of wheels on Monday. My setup will be:

Front - 255/35/20 Offset +38
Rear - 285/30/20 Offset +45

I need to order tires now but I researched and reach out to a few people about wheels and lowered Genesis. With my setup I think I should not have any rubbing issue. The wheels I ordered are Front: 8.5" and Rear: 10". If your wheels are the same width they will stick out a little more and you might need to do fender rolling. Even though I researched the heck out of it, it might rub. I was thinking of even maybe going with these tire size to reduce the chances of rubbing:

Front - 245/35/20
Rear - 275/30/20

I might wait to get the lowering spring in and mock the the wheels up with out tires to see what kind of clearance I have.

I got my Ark Springs set for $180 :o
We need a dislike button

BTW which size tires and wheels are you running? What is your offset?

I forgot the wheel size

Front - 245/35/20 Offset +30 (20x9)
Rear - 285/30/20 Offset +40 (20x10)

Am I still ok without rolling the Fender?

lol I'm running 255/35ZR/20 on 9" wheels up front and 285/30ZR/20s on 10" wheels in the rear. If I had to do it again I'd probably go 245s up front to increase tire selection options.

IIRC, my front offset was 35 and my rear is 45. BUT, it's worth noting that the (unfortunately unavailable beyond my prototype set) Ark GT-F Springs do not drop as much as the GT-S springs, so that's something to consider. If you're concerned about rubbing, I'd choose the exact setup someone else is running.

Thanks for the information. Yea my biggest concern is the back rubbing with the 285. I was also thinking of maybe doing 245 up fronts because you do get a little better tire selection also less changes of rubbing a full wheel lock.
