Neither of these cars gets good gas mileage in the city. You can go by the EPA estimates. The highway mileage is very good because of the two overdrive gears on the transmission that come into play at higher speeds.See, this is what scares me. I get 16-17 in the city in my truck. I don't put my foot in it or anything either. I am not sure your driving style, but if you get 21 in the city in the V6. The tells me 18-19 in the City in the V8! Thats is not much of an increase for me personally. Anyone else want to chime in on what MPG they are getting in their V6 or V8?
Thanks
You should be able to get a brand new Genesis Base model (2012) for about $31K, so I think it is crazy to pay about $27K for a used car. If you can't afford $31K, I would buy a brand new Accord EX that gets good mileage in the city if that is where you drive the most and fuel economy is important to you.
I would not pay too much attention to the advice on this forum (except of course, for my advice), because I doubt that very many people who post here have the same values as you, or are in the same situation as you.
