  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Full review of the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3,8 automatic on Nurburgring Nordschleife - the most demanded race track of the world, done by Dmitry Sokolov - drive expert of russian Top Gear magazine

I keep putting links to this on other forums - along with the info that the Coupe did its lap in 8:47 with other cars on the track. The ZL1 Camaro did its lap in 7:41 or so and Chevrolet paid to have the track MT so the Camaro wouldn't have to pass anyone and be slowed down.

For some reason no one ever responds to my posts??:D

I'll respond :) Great video find!!

I have to remark on the refreshing honesty of the race driver and his review. The American/British media tends not to be honest about the coupe, as they are pushing American muscle cars and German imports, so somehow the Korean Genesis Coupe always loses in their comparisons. On the road, it's a different story. Even the Top Gear UK show snubbed the concept coupe back in 2007, hasn't reviewed it at all, yet drools over the somewhat similar GT-R. That's also funny because Jeremy Clarkson struggled to break a 10-minute time on the 'Ring.

This video lap proves it's not so much the car but the driver, as on his first try he caught up to and passed 911s with far more power and supposedly better handling, and totally lost his chase car, waiting for it to catch up after crossing the line. I totally agree about the balance, as I've found my car to be remarkable in how it corners. As he said, his time was really about 8:20 due to having to slow down for a crash, and I'd wager a 3.8 R-Spec with a manual would do better still, as he complained about the brakes and tranny getting too hot, so the lighter manual would help both problems.

So, Awesome! :)

I wonder how the newer (of course, such as my new-to-me 2015 Ultimate with 8-speed transmission) would fair on the Ring? The 8-speed combined with more power than the one that he drove?

I would love to try it in my 2013 GT 3.8. Its been a great car but now I must sell it( eyes very bad and as Im 80,its time to face facts) anyone interested? 42K miles,HKS exhaust,K&N airfilter, all new tires $15k firm
