Hi, do you have to disassemble the rearview mirror or is it an easy plug and play type of install ?
You take the cover off of the whole setup, it's easy and there are videos on how to do itHi, do you have to disassemble the rearview mirror or is it an easy plug and play type of install ?
Yeah thanks posted too quick, I saw the videos seems straight forward. Does anyone with Dongar Tech adapter know if it’s compatible with dash cams with parking mode ? Like is it powered only while the car is running or does it also draw power when engine is off ?You take the cover off of the whole setup, it's easy and there are videos on how to do it

does it allow parking mode to function as well?Just my 2 cents. I do not like going the route of popping off any pillars or anything like coz I would hate to break any of those snap on locks. For me it was just easier to tap into the rearview mirror.
No, this type of install will not provide power for parking mode. You need power to be supplied that is always on. ACC line would be used to sense if the car is running or parked.does it allow parking mode to function as well?
You do not need to worry about the fuses. You do not tape into any of the fuse lines. You plug a fuse tap into the position and the original fuse and a second fuse is installed onto the fuse tap. When you remove it, you just plug the fuse back into its slot.I am considering using an ODB connector cable to power my dashcam, as the vehicle is leased so I don't want to tamper with fuses. Can anyone recommend an ODB cable that they have used safely with no issue? there are lots of products online.
What size fuse taps are needed for GV70 - standard, mini, LP mini, or Micro 2?You do not need to worry about the fuses. You do not tape into any of the fuse lines.
I don't, but I did have one fail, they sent a new one right away. I have 4 now, one in all my vehicles.
Ok, thanks. Using a Viofo A229 at the moment. Haven't got to figure out how to wire the rear camera in so it's even just single channel at the moment. Maybe it is just too sensitive to the voltage drop when the car restarts. Kicks it off for a few seconds and then a few more to wait for it to boot.I don't, but I did have one fail, they sent a new one right away. I have 4 now, one in all my vehicles.
When mine failed it would cycle power constantly, so you might Reach out to DongarOk, thanks. Using a Viofo A229 at the moment.
