  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does the V6 Genesis push you into your seat?

Reading comprehension. I did not say that ONLY C&D got ringers.

Reading comprehension on your part...

"As far as ringer cars, you think if Manufacturers were doing that, only C&D would get them?"

You said:
"Yes, that's exactly what I think, in part."

Did you miss where I said "in part."

And then went on to explain the circumstances that "in part" refers to.

Why is it so hard for you to understand that some magazines will shill for certain manufacturers and by doing so will get certain cars for testing that others won't get?

I get what you're saying - I was just clarifying why people were thinking you were meaning only CD gets ringers as that is what your posts seemed to say - that's all. I could care less about 1 second differences in 0-60 so I'm happy with my 3.8 AWD - more than enough power to be a fun and incredibly comfortable car to drive (Of course, I don't time my acceleration).

I meant to say I couldn't care less ;)

But I realize others do, therefore, why there is a V8 option!

Nikgen,
Thank you for the Youtube video, very clever!
BTW, I agree with your observation on the 6. I have a 2001 Avalon and a 2005 Maxima. The Maxima is quite a bit more peppy. But I have rarely needed to really punch it. The only time I find I need screaming acceleration is trying to pass a slow truck on a two lane (one in each direction), but having a slightly slower vehicle just makes me sure that I have a very safe passing zone.
Well now I must get back to "holding the fort". ;)
