Same here. I reinstalled and still have the issue.
I remember when I got an OTA update a few months back (Not for the Navigation) there was a little summary of what the update was. Not much detail, but there was an overview. It was in the settings part where you do the update. Has anyone looked there after the update?Agreed. However seems to be an industry thing. I've been downloading latest AA to try to get coolwalk, but google is same, won't tell you what updates it fixes are in build. At least it's a little easier to back out
i did the usb update yesterday and the speed limit is still on the HUD.I posted this in another similar thread. I just installed the most recent update and noticed the speed limit indicator in the HUD has disappeared after the update. It is there while the system is starting up, then vanishes.
Yes, it is there, but it is the same info on the download siteI remember when I got an OTA update a few months back (Not for the Navigation) there was a little summary of what the update was. Which you may, or may not, get back.I created a USB yesterday but, I think I’ll wait for the next update. I like having the speed limit on the HUD.
It is strange that they would release an update now and again within a month's time.I created a USB yesterday but, I think I’ll wait for the next update. I like having the speed limit on the HUD.
Not just on HUD, in instrument cluster speed limit used to turn to RED as soon as it’s crossed the limit, but I don’t see it anymore. Weird.I called Genesis Support on this issue (speed limit on HUD disappeared). They were of no help. They had me contact the vendor they subcontract with, a company called Mapcare. I was told by them there is ANOTHER update coming out next month. All very confusing, not sure why Genesis would promote an update on 10-25-22 when another update is right around the corner. Hopefully this addresses the issue.
At any rate, I did notice the SW versions in the 10-25-22 update are different for 2023 versus 2021-2022. See below.
I wonder if installing the 2022 version on a 2023 would fix the issue?

interesting... i never saw it turn red on cluster before. I was actually thinking the other day that would be a cool feature! Not just on HUD, in instrument cluster speed limit used to turn to RED as soon as it’s crossed the limit, but I don’t see it anymore. Weird.
IIRC, I don’t remember ever having the color change on the GV80, but our G70 does change color. At least it used to. Haven‘t checked either one since the update. Not just on HUD, in instrument cluster speed limit used to turn to RED as soon as it’s crossed the limit, but I don’t see it anymore. Weird.
Could be a reaction to the loss of road sign/speed limit in HUD.It is strange that they would release an update now and again within a month's time.
Do you see the speed limit on HUD? and does it change the color to RED when you over the limit? can you plz confirm the software update date. TIAThe speed limit function still works fine in our 2022 GV80 after updating a few days ago. I'd still like an option to turn off the audible warning for traffic cameras. Already have it in Waze, don't need the duplicate warnings every time I go past a camera.
I still have my wishlist of functions that I'd like to see them implement:
- Allow AA/CarPlay to be paused or skip tracks from the scroll buttons in the centre console
- Invert forward/back track functions on the steering wheel control (right now, you have to toggle down to skip forward and toggle up to skip back, it's backward)
- Faster boot up - if you're switching driver profiles it can take quite a considerable amount of time to wait for the system to load
- Allow auto start/stop to be permanently disabled
- Allow drive mode to revert back to the previously used mode (only does this for eco/comfort). Almost every other vehicle I've ever owned with multiple drive modes always started back up in the last used mode (typically custom)
- And yes, I realize there may be regulatory reasons for the start/stop and drive mode functions to work as they do
- Allow the side bolsters in the seats to be permanently fully inflated. They have extra bolstering that comes into play in sport mode and on the highway above 110 km/h - I'm a slim guy and I'd love that extra bolstering 100% of the time. These seats are supremely comfortable when the bolsters are fully inflated
