Downloaded the new software update for my 2023 GV80 via USB stick

I just drove both of our cars to check into the speed limit update. Both seem the same as they were before the update. G70 changes colors and the GV80 does not. All speed indicators appear to be in their original locations.

Not sure what you mean by "speed limit indicator". The speed limit "road sign" is there.

I've only encountered the traffic camera warning where the speed limit appears in the HUD and goes to yellow (warning) and then red (exceeding the limit). Just updated to the latest software a few days ago.

I'll re-enable the speed limit function to be always on (I have it turned off as it clutters up the HUD) and report back.

I think there is difference between US and Canada models

It seems that the 21 and 22 update did not break the speed limit sign in the HUD. Only the 23 MY seems to be broken.

i have 22 3.5 and i see issue with HUD, not showing speed limit sign and not changing color to RED (in instrument cluster, once we are over the speed limit)

I double checked today, I get the speed limit signs on both HUD and cluster. Have a '21 3.5

Checking the software versions and it seems the 2023 GV80 got the same software version as the 2023 GV70. The map version is the same for all the GV80s. I think I will download and install the 2022 GV80 update and see if it fixes this issue with the speed limit sign in the HUD. The 2022 and 2023 GV80s show as the same model number. Hope this works. I will let you know what happens after I do the update.

I heard back from Mapnsoft today, and it sounds like they are checking with LG, who manufactures our head units and also develops the underlying software, on a fix. Mapnsoft just does the map updates then bundles it with the software they get from LG.

They said to check back in a couple of weeks to see if another update has been released.

You got a better answer. They told me they only did the map software too, but I needed to talk to Genesis about the HUD issue.

Let me know how it goes, i have 22 gv80 and the latest update screwed speed limit on HUD

Well, that's not encouraging. I thought I read from someone else that said theirs was fine after the update. Maybe I should try the 2021 update. Although, it lists as a different model.

It Looks like only 2021 models are fine with this upgrade.
