  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2014 Genesis sedan that had minor fresh-water flood damage to the drivers side. I replaced all the seat motors and seat switch, but only the seat-back recline works (did not have to replace this motor). I have the seat's under side exposed, should I put some grease on each of the connectors? My car is not warranted, so a visit to the dealer would come out of my pocket. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

obvious/dumb question: did you check the fuse?

Yes, the 30 amp fuse under the hood is good. I purchased a new seat switch, and I recently checked the connections from the switch contacts to the plug, with the same outcome. The front of the seat will raise only and the rear of the seat only goes down. And the seat will not move from front to back. I will unbolt the seat from the frame "again" to test connections to the motors. :(
