I guess my issue is maybe that I come from a BMW and on them, if you don't shift into first gear when coming to a stop, the car shifts into first for you and it is still in manual. With the G70, if you don't think of putting it in first, it changes to 'drive' automatically. I just find it irritating because if I want it to be in manual, I don't want it to change out on its own.

That said I hardly ever use it so not really a big issue for me.

Just accelerate from a stop in D (1) and hit + when u want to shift up. If u wanna go fast keep it in sport mode so it doesnt shift before you do. At a stop D is 1

My 2015 had that but it has been replaced by electronic shift. I did not use it often, but it was handy at times for a little fun.

Well, the 10 spd AT has been in development for ages, and the there have been rumors of Hyundai working on a DCT for RWD application to go along w/ the more performance-oriented DCT that will be used on the i30N, Veloster-N and other FWD N models (the latter having been confirmed).

So just as people were posting their fuel numbers, I thought I'd throw in mine. Driving the 3.3T, but only 700 kms so far. I will admit I have done a lot of highway driving, and when on the road using the "Eco" setting a lot - I'm super paranoid about the break-in period (yes I know I don't need to be) so have been driving it pretty gently. So far my rate is sitting at a pretty respectable 9.4L/100km. I TOTALLY know it's not going to stay there, but it does seem like the engine can be decent on gas if you're willing to hold back a little!

Also the other minor complaint about the "Park" function - I'm actually getting used to it, and I can see the benefit now. I drive forward into my garage in D, hit the brake and then just push the button to park. No sliding through N, R etc. Same with Reverse ... I get to where I want to be and just hit the P.

I have a convenience feature question... does the G70 have an "easy exit/entry" feature? For example, in my F-150: I can go through the menus in the instrument panel screen and get to an "easy entry/exit" selection. When this is turned on, if the engine is shut off the seat will automatically move all the way back and the steering wheel all the way up and towards the dash. Makes it VERY easy to get in and out. The seat and wheel stay that way until the engine is turned on again, then they return to the drivers' selected position. Not such a big deal with a truck because there's tons of room to begin with, but a feature like that might make a convenience in a small car like the G70.

For comparison, my parents' 2017 Cadillac CTS has the easy entry/exit feature, but it is a physical button on the door that you must press and hold to get the seat and steering wheel to move. Then you must press and hold it again when you get back in to the car to return the seat and wheel to their previous positions. It has no automatic setting. The automatic function is nice because you can shut the engine off, reach over and pick up your phone or bag and the seat is in the exit position already. It can be a little impatient if you have to physically hold the button each time...

Does the G70 have a feature like this; either a manual button or automatic?

Our Pilot and prior Q7 had this...loved it. To add...each key fob was associated with 1 of the 2 memory settings.

So when the seat returned...it would move back to the saved position associated with the current driver’s key fob.

That's a very nice touch... not sure of my truck does that or not. I only use one of the keys so I'm not sure. I would imagine it has the capability to differentiate keys because of Ford's MyKey system of being able to personalize different settings based on each key I think. I've never played around with these because I'm the only driver

Yes ir does, i love it as i am of the long and lanky sort, when you power of engine it will go to the easy exit position and when you open your door ig will go to the easy enter position, you have 3 settings in the options

Yup. Turn off car and open the door. The seat slides back and steering wheel moves up. I believe there is 3 settings of how far everything moves. When getting in, simply sit, close the door and everything moves back to the last setting.

Yup. Turn off car and open the door. The seat slides back and steering wheel moves up. I believe there is 3 settings of how far everything moves. When getting in, simply sit, close the door and everything moves back to the last setting.

I haven't noticed any issue with glare or fingerprints at all. The angle of the screen seems to be pretty thought out.

You know it always happens. Either someone in a ricer...or an M3...gives you the look at a red light. Especially in the GTA...happens to me all the time.

Its easy to see, and is matte, fingerprints are a mild issue, im wondering if oleophobic coatings or wax would be a good idea. Ive never had a matte touch screen before.

I have done my fair share lol, i have pulled past a mustang GT, jeep srt and several Camaros of different trims, this car really rips and will beat most RWD cars to the speed limit, lol the mustang destroyed its tires trying to take off. The Jeep srt kept up pretty good
