  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

3.3T Ecu tune

Man just when I thought I made a decision to go for boost ready, I read some of the recent posts on the Stinger forum from a guy who just recently installed a Lozic ECU with boost ready and didn't like it. I really don't want to have to be sending it back and forth for changes/ updates.

I have boost ready on with my 1.3bar tune and it's pretty great. Very smooth.

What are y'alls thoughts on my selections?

I didn't take the boost ready thinking I was saving my car but now I want it. It's a slippery slope of always wanting something more! With your settings though for the ECU if you change something else like a filter or a bolt on you're going to have to send for a retune anyways. from what I'm hearing doesn't take too long to get it back though, also, Lozic is releasing his own custom exhaust setup in a few weeks!

Custom exhaust? That's cool!

Yes I emailed him asking what exhaust setup he prefers to tune with and he said he was releasing one in the next few weeks.!

from Lozic!

Lozic exhaust will be launch soon. after 2weeks.

Variable Electronic Valve control. No drone noise.

When the exhaust is complete, I will make a video.

Hope it fits the G70. There are so many options for the stinger but the G70 there are only 3ish options and they are all crazy expensive for what they are

After all the consideration about boost ready, I forgot that it's not yet available for 2022 cars with sport+ unless you lose eco mode and control of the variable exhaust.

No way!? I thought There was an option to select that you have the valved exhaust?

Will you ever use eco mode though? I switch back and fourth from comfort to sport, mostly just sport.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what he said?

"Unfortunately for the G70 with sport+ mode boost ready cannot be applied.

When not using ECO and genuine variable exhaust valve, boost ready can be applied.

Data that satisfies both sport+ vehicles have not yet been developed.

Other functions are applicable.

please select.

No boost ready or boost ready and without variable exhaust valve control and eco."

I certainly use eco on longer trips or even just cruising around. One of the things I really like about the G70 is that you don't have to be in sport mode to get full power. I can just be driving along being relatively efficient then suddenly punch it and it'll get up and go. Sounds like I'll lose the coasting feature with the new TCU though so.. oh well.

Yeah sounds like you understood correctly. That sucks, probably fix it with version 20! I wonder what lap3 can accommodate. I hear a lot about them as well.

I had to buy the G70 sight unseen, since no car available for test-drive. I know will be satisfied with it, but in ALL Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vehicles I've driven, anything other than sport feels downright lethargic. Yeah, full power in normal, but takes forever to get it. Ha ha. And I also don't like lugging the engine, which is what all other modes do, running basically right above idle. So I drive sedately most of the time, but always in sport, so engine/tranny responds quickly if needed, and engine is not getting lugged.

But have a question about this car, since it has adjustable suspension AND exhaust: Can you independently adjust both? And how many settings each has? Just 2, or more than that? At any rate, if sport mode forces you to have the loud exhaust and firm suspension all the time, I might not be happy about that. Ha ha. What I'd do in that case is to use normal mode, and just use the paddles all the time.

Sport and sport+ definitely respond quicker but eco and comfort feel very normal IMO, as in not super lazy or lethargic. Much better than other cars in this segment I've tried.

There's a custom mode where you can select your individual preferences for engine, suspension, exhaust, etc. So you can tailor it to your liking.

Hey, that was great help; thanks a million. And very happy to hear a custom mode would solve my problem. And will also try all modes then, also to advice the wife what to use. Unfortunately, car probably reverts to one of the lower modes every restart, right? So we'll have to change it every time, once I know which one is best for me, and for my wife. It'd be nice if the 'custom' mode could be tied to a key and/or a memory button, so you could basically have 2 custom modes (1 for each key/memory), but that's probably not the case, right? Thanks guys. Otherwise, I'll experiment when I get the car.

Correct, it will always revert to comfort. Just a quick flick of the mode selector know will get you back to custom. And it'll remember your settings.

I don't remember right now if one of the custom buttons can be programmed to do this as well.

Sweet! of course for the Stinger though, anything for the g70 yet? i don't think it's an identical setup is it?

He has an exhaust available for the G70. He told me about it back in February/March but I was focused on other mods.

have you guys ever tried any of the other 2 ECU tuners - LAP 3 or Tork? Just wondering if anyone has any comparison info first hand.
