If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Eelectric Exhaust Cut Outs

Great updates guys! I should point out a few points that may help.

* I don't have any loyalty to RRP, but they included backing plates with mine

* As suggested, I can rebolt my entire stock exhaust back in place as you said with 6 bolts. Mainly for re-sale was my purpose.

* welded x-pipe group buy is probably the only way to get Andre to do it for you guys. PM me if you guys want to get the ball rolling. I suggest you call Andre at Abel Racing direct too.

* is X-pipe really needed? Save a lot of time by just welding in new valves to new pipes. My HP did not change that much. ???????

I will be posting new vids in a couple days highlighting my exhaust valves and doing burnouts and bridge tests! :D

I called Andre and he says it was sooo tight he could not do this without the car there so guess we are out of luck unless you have some brilliant idea such as donating your car as a model. :welcome:

Hmmm. Thanks for the update. I would also like a highway video!

Andre should leave the fitting up to us...but I know some people will bitch back to him...maybe if I sign a release...hmmmm

I asked Andre to produce just the X pipe section as anybody can fit the rest. The x part is what was too tight to produce without a vehicle on hand. Even told him there were at least 5 people if not more that would buy these from him if they were made available.

New solution... have them come up with a new cat back -- with integrated x-pipes :D --- with decent sounding (no drone) mufflers

Guys, I have no problem taking my Rspec for a day to Abel Racing garage for the benefit of our group. Let me talk to him and get this pulled together. It takes about 2hrs to weld that set-up. Maybe less after a couple.

I can't speak for Andre, but let's swap cost expectations. RRP will sell for 20% off I think with 4 or more purchases. Andre will weld 2hrs on each complete kit.

$439 before discount to get valves from RRP. Have shipped to Abel Racing.

How many interested at price around $600 complete? Maybe less....just guessing to get it started. You all come up with fair price and Andre might jump on it. They are very fair and easy to work with.

+1....got it.

how much crank horspower are you putting down with the MSA cat deletes, plus the elextronic cut outs abel intake

460 470 to the crank ?

Specs on the stainless steel used -- and lets see some detailed pictures of the TIG welding. Not all SS is created equal.

Just a long shot here but I think this is super cool however there are a lot more 4.6 members on this forum is there any way we could come up with a 4.6 kit?

Also what CAI did you go with because i have been look all over for a nice clean install and haven't really found anything worth while.

If you want specs and pictures and paperwork and warranty go to your own custom shop and pay $2000 for it. Come on, this is pretty simple and straight forward to what is being offered. You will also need to except the fact that there will be no warranty either.

I know there is no warranty to these but I would like 300 series stainless as well. I don't want this to rot through like my other exhaust did.

Also, I would prefer to use QTP cut-outs. But I know that would be hard at this point. I might just have to buy everything separate and go to my local shop to get raped for cost :/. Is there a way we can contact QTP and see if they will do a group discount?

I'm not concerned with the welding since these will be welded off the car. The top weld is the hardest in exhaust and with it outta the car it's considerably easier. I also assume the RRP cut-outs are bolt on and not weld on?

Correct me if I am wrong but what we are talking about for an approximate price of $600 is the x pipe with cutouts and down pipes like in the picture below. It would be silly to offer the whole darn length just because of shipping problems. Once received, a local muffler shop of your choice can fit the rest easily.

I will present these ideas and show this thread to Abel Racing tomorrow Friday. We need to get this done for all of you. If I kept a diary of all the fun moments I have had with this exhaust set-up, I could fill an entire front page of the Genesis forum.

Like tonight about 30 minutes ago, I had my twins in the back seat and this red neck mustang V6 pulls up with a crappy exhaust trying to sound cool. My 6yr olds said "Daddy, open up the Rspec and make ours louder." Which I did and got this shocking look from the mustang driver. When the light turned green, it really got fun.....especially under the bridge. Just one of the thousand moments of great fun. There are those days when I just need quiet and talk on Bluetooth too.

Oh, about 4.6 & non Rspec 5.0's. It's all the same set up and size.

I thought the center section looked familiar but was not a 100% sure. Very cool Id be very intrested to see how this sounds on a 4.6 and what kind of gains would put out.

BTW what CAI did you go with on your Rspec?

The QTP cutouts are notorious for leaking after time. I had a 3" on my turbo'd SRT-4. Just a heads up..

Can't speak for the other brand.
