G70 LED vs Stock Turn & Reverse Lights

I really enjoy the look of the turn signals and reverse lights. But 50$ for some LED bulbs is kinda steep. I found some on AliExpress that promise to work well and have good feedback. I am going to buy them in the next few days to start the 2 month wait for them.

Last time I ordered something from Aliexpress it said the estimated shipping time would be 30 days but I actually got it in a week, hopefully that's the case for these as well.

Yeah, the main concern is reliability. I will probably end up paying a couple extra bucks to try to get it sooner. I am taking delivery later this week so I am not in a rush to order.

One very nice thing about those lights specifically: Amazon offers free overnight shipping for Prime members in most areas of America.

Alrighty...ordered Sunday...got them today (2 day Prime).

Installed in 10 min...easy...thanks for the vid Todd.

Flashers are f'ing bright...but ya know what...it lets folks know loud and clear what you are doing.

Brake lights...not much brighter...but you can tell they are. Since they are not flashing...you cannot tell the difference that they are LED. No biggie. But brake lights/backup lights are good bright for sure.

So...overall...great Mod. Didn't break the bank...thanks !!! Kept my old bulbs just...well...to have them.

Also, don't stress about the brightness. Take a look at them when it's daylight again and you'll see that they're not too bright at all. I think most of us are just overwhelmed with the change in brightness from a weak, ineffective bulb to a good bright one.

I am definitely going to get these as well. I hate how the stock turn signals look like someone is sliding a dimmer switch up and down. I just want on and off!

At the price level of this car I am surprised the lights are not OEM LED. Even a garbage corolla has them.

I have seen one video of sequential turn signals but I believe it was a custom job that was one off by some Korean shop, here's the video for it

I feel like it would be easier said than done because of getting a strip that goes the whole way may be an issue, I feel like they take the tail light apart for that install. They sell sequential stripes but I am not sure how it will be to fit in.

I put sequentials on my last car a BRZ by ordering new tail light assemblies, but that obviously has to fit the exact model of the car and I wouldn't expect the g70 mod scene to be large enough to support those yet. Maybe in a few years .

For sequential LED turn signals, I just tried a few custom options last week. It looked great in low light. However, in bright daylight, the signals are barely visible. Went back to OEM bulbs for now.
