  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

G70 LED vs Stock Turn & Reverse Lights

What's the difference between these two turn signal lights:

You need the 1156 one.

Problem with the Lasfits the will overheat and stop working. Only occurs when remote starting the car it runs for 10 min cooling off the car. Once the lamps cool off they are fine.

mostly has to do with the lamps blink at a far slower rate on remote start (on longer between flashes) vs regular signal being on.

Coming from a G80 I don't see nothing wrong with the op lights (Lasfit) being to bright. The G80 turn signal was bright, enough that you see the reflection on freeway signs. maybe I have to see the in person

I had a 2016 Hyundai Genesis which is the same as the G80 and I can tell you that the Lasfit though smaller are brighter than the G80's turn lights by a lot.

Just placed an order for these. Will I gain any HP from this mod?

I end up getting these from Amazon, wanted to try something different to see what works best. I think I'm sticking with these. The color is identical bright but not super bright just brighter than stock. I also order op's Lasfit led just to compare the two they should arrive sometime next week. So far no error left them running for 10 minutes or so.

Those look nice. How hot was it outside when you left them on? I live in Phoenix, so I have to be careful to find bulbs that can withstand lots of heat.

At night here NY 60 degree. I forgot to mention the passenger side are LED , driver side stock bulb with winter approaching I won't be able to test them in the heat.

Okay. So I ended up buying a set of LASFIT LED bulbs to replace the rear turn signals, and reverse lights. Here are the links where I bought them...

Rear Turn Signals: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...tle_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=salsbloofnot-20

Reverse Lights: Amazon.com: Headphone Adapter for iPhone Splitter 2 in 1 Earphone Jack Aux Audio Charger, Double Dongle Adapter Cable for iPhone 7/7 Plus/8/8 Plus/X/Xs Headset Music car Charger Support All iOS System.: DDSTeck

The bulbs are very nice. They feel like a quality product and offer a lot of features (ie heat sinks, CANbus integration, built in resistors [turn signals only]). You can see how they stack up against the OEM bulbs, a bit taller and bigger...View attachment 18598

Installation is just about as easy as any other newer car. You must remove the taillight assembly first, then install the replacement lights. I made a video for those of you who haven't done anything like it before. It's pretty straightforward, though... (Installation is reverse of removal, obviously) If you do end up watching it, forgive my shaky cellphone video, I suck at multitasking and one handed camera operation. :druff:

Now, onto the comparisons!

Turn Signal LED vs OEM

Reverse Lights LED vs OEM

Hope this helps anyone who is interested. For me, they are perfect. They are definitely brighter than stock, but I don't think they're too bright. Worth the upgrade in my opinion!

Toddasaurus,
I'm interested in doing your LED mods on my G70, but the Amazon link for the reverse bulbs now takes me to an iPod/iPhone splitter. Can you provide an updated link or descriptive search data for the reverse bulbs?
Enjoy,
Carguy55

I like that the response time of the LED is better. You can always tell filament bulbs due to the phase lag....looks lazy when they get mixed with LED.

According to the lasfit site, these are the reverse lights for our cars. I just ordered mine off eBay and made a lower offer to seller. Cheaper on ebay than their own site.

For the turn signals, I ordered directly off their site. They currently have 10% off and free shipping. I found a coupon code online for additional 10% off. Use code issafk710

Which reverse lights are the best one's? Im planning on switching mine out as well. Please let me know which one you guys recommend.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

With reverse lights you wont need anything special. Any LED bulb will be better than stock.

Just got my lasfit rear turn signal bulbs and they are just too bright for me. Is there any way I can safely cover up or even color a few LEDs to dim them a bit?

*Update* I'm going to return these. These are too bright for my taste and they get super hot within a short time. I can't risk these $50 lights doing damage to the taillight housing and then having to dish out $500.

I'm returning the Lasfit led the other one (post #229) are cheaper and they are little less bright. I'm guessing the high brightness on the Lasfit making them overheat quick. For $54 is just not worth it.

I live in Phoenix too and the lasfit ones are ok when I drop the runtime on the remote start to 8 mim.
