FYI, I was told by my local TX dealer that they were told to expect the first batch of cars March 10th. I went ahead and bought an s4 this past week, but figured I’d pass along the info.![]()
Thought you guys might enjoy these pics of 4 G70s in the wild... or should I say, rather, in captivity... This is at Henderson Hyundai in the suburbs of Las Vegas today, Sunday. Who knew that Las Vegas car dealers are closed on Sunday? Well, not me. Otherwise I would be able to report my impressions from a test drive...
Are the January sales numbers out yet? I was curious, and had not yet seen mention of them.January sales numbers should be out by week’s end. Interesting to see if they rise in proportion to available cars...?

That seems promising (the increase that is); hopefully not solely due to additional dealers added. Hopefully sales continue to increase. They have decided not to release detailed sales numbers until after the dealer network is more complete. Hyundai announced their's on Friday and it didn't include Genesis'. I did get a number though and in total they sold about double the amount of cars in January from December - 1,224.

Have to admit that I am curious as well. And you are right, there may have been a building demand for the G80/90. Local dealers here still had a few G80s--but most of those now seem gone. So, yes, curious which cars are selling.I really wish we could get the sales breakdown by model and state. It would be interesting to see if that increase was to opening up a big market (Fla.) or whether there was a general rise in sales throughout the states. Even if it was Florida, what model was selling. I think there is a big market there for the G80/G90 so was the rise in sales due to pent up demand for those models or was the model mix similar to other states/regions?

I believe OKC sold 2 G70s (both 2.0, and one the car that had the unfortunate incidence in Texas). The Tulsa dealership still has 4 G70s on their lot so do not think they have sold one--they have had them one week.
I test drove both at two places as soon as I learned they were here. I "ordered" a G70 from the local dealer-- though not sure that is the correct terminology because it is so new for the local dealer that do not currently know a time frame. Went with 3.3 Prestige AWD (because did not want to worry about 2 sets of tires on the Sport--though really love the Sport). I had not yet posted anything here because I know so little. But, local dealer has been terrific. I really like the car--it does show better in person, and it seemed pretty nice to me in pics. I test drove a 2.0--and it had a lot more than I thought it would, but I still decided to go with the 3.3 (for more than one reason--but, have to admit I like the symmetry of 2 pipes rather than 1).What is your status? Did you take a test drive and are still interested in getting one? Waiting for the right one to show up in an allocation or going to try and order one?

Did you get your Order in on Monday? Any additional information? I'm kind of in a "wait" and hope for information mode as well.Unsure... This is all new to them and they've been very open to me about how little they know about everything, haha.
They told me they will place the order on Monday (the 4th). I'll see if I can get more details at that time.
Is there any way to get a G70 (or G80 for that matter) in L.A. other than dealing with Vegas? I'm coming out of a G80 lease and interested in the G70 but not sight unseen....and there are none that I know of in CA much less L.A. Thanks in advance!this is my local dealership, where i bought my G70. hit me up with any questions you have. I live here and at one point I did the same thing, drove down there on a sunday to be dissapointed haha

I thought there was a CA dealer that has 2 cars that they bought just for display--they cannot sell them yet.
