Genesis Car Dealerships (Freestanding)

anyone in the louisville kentucky area aware of the time frame for east louisville genesis to build their stand alone store. I heard about 2 years ago it was going near the MB dealership. However, I have not seen anything.

Lexington I believe has a stand alone.

I did a little searching and I believe the dealership is currently being build at 2025 blankebaker. Across from the Lexus and BMW dealership. There is also an new ACURA dealership being built. No sign on what the construction will be but makes sense to be next to the other dealerships. Should know for sure in a few months

I believe in competition/ Both Lexus and BMW have, in general, excellent service departments at their dealerships. Having that competition directly across the street should help the Genesis dealership stay on the straight and narrow as a luxury seller/servicer.

1.) Separate freestanding non-mobile building(s) dedicated for Genesis sales, parts, and service.
(might be located adjacent to, but not attached to, stores or service facilities of other brands)
2.) New vehicles offered are exclusively Genesis models. (might sell used vehicles of other brands)
3.) Performs service on site for Genesis vehicles. (might not always have valet and/or loaner service)

A new freestanding Genesis in Rocklin, CA opened a few months ago in a former Camping World building. I was hopeful there would be a major change in the service experience from the local Hyundai dealer which had the Genesis brand taken away from them.

My first experience has not been good. I was made to feel guilty for asking for valet service with loaner when I made the appointment two months ago. I changed my appointment a few weeks ago but someone still showed up at my house to valet last week. When speaking with the dealer about their mistake and confirming this week’s appointment I was told they do not guarantee loaners with appointments.

A few months ago the service department told me they would offer loaners. The sale team of course uses the valet / loaner program as a benefit of ownership. So another Genesis dealer without the ‘Genesis Experience’. If anyone has experience with this dealership I would love to hear.

My best recollection on loaners has always been it’s up to the dealer, loaners are not guaranteed, first come first serve basically, most dealers will attempt to let you schedule in advance, but I’d never buy a vehicle based on dealer promised perks. Pretty sure Genesis also says it’s up to the dealer for participation in this. Ideally you want this all written out in your sales agreement but not sure any dealer would go for any form of guarantee on loaners?

If it is at dealer discretion - then Genny needs to stop mentioning it and promising it in their advertising, even if they put a tiny, asterisked note at the bottom of screen or page. They leverage this offer very prominently in their ads, and if it is not a true offering from the manufacturer then they need to reflect something more accurate in their statement, or knock it off entirely.

Genesis considers a standalone showroom in a mall with a separate service building next to a Hyundai dealership a standalone. My dealership, Genesis of Scottsdale, is configured that way:

When I was in Arizona some years back, I made a special trip to Chandler to go the the Heart Attack Grill. I had heard about the place and had always wanted to go. So I did while I was in Phoenix. I visited them again, when they moved to Vegas.

I would expect @MajD will get excellent service. Same local company as Genesis of Scottsdale and my service has been excellent.

In 2011, he packed up and moved to Vegas and is doing great. They did about 51/2 million in sales 2023.

I got my complimentary oil and oil filter change today at the new freestanding Genesis location. Genesis Of Braintree.
Very, very nice! Very modern. You can watch the mechanics working on your car from the oversized waiting room. Free wifi as well.

Nice! Lucky you. I've been waiting like three years for a supposed dedicated Genesis dealership to even break ground in my area. It's the only way I'll even consider owning another one, since the "service" I've gotten at the Hyundai dealer is beyond horrible.
