I know when I was looking at the G70 at the local car show, they told me that the Cell Data circuitry in the car was 3G.Is it just me or does the interface between car and phone app feel somewhat clunky? For instance, I just checked it 5 minutes ago and it told me my doors were unlocked. Sent the lock request before I realized that I was looking at a status update from 6:43am (it is now 1:30pm)!
The request take a while to actually execute as well. I asked to start the car the other day and it didn't start until I walked down 3 flights of stairs and then across the parking lot (no overhead/structure) to the car. I could have opened the door and turned it on myself before it got up and running!
Anyone else have this kind of experience?
I confirmed this with the other sales staff, so I assume it's true.
As other's commented, this and server load are factors, but I bet the 3G in the car is the main bottleneck.
Wonder what Genesis will do if the Carriers stop supporting 3G? The people at the autoshow made it seem that there was no plan for that.
Edit: ok. reading through this thread and someone commented that they were told 4G. That makes sense to me. All I can say is that the people I spoke to seemed sure that it was 3G.
