I found a dealer who is going to install the vs 8 for me for $100 which includes the discs!! Heck of a deal.

I have a 2011 Genesis 4.8
Can I buy the update DVDs on eBay?
It seems the update process requires an authorization code from MapnSoft. So do they charge for the code or will they deny the code as the DVDs have already been used once?
Any workaround?

07/25/2016 UPDATE...the update that was installed froze up my Nav on certain, requests., i.e. Searching for a specific business by locations on the map. The entire display would be frozen a total distraction when driving.

In the end, the extended warranty was going to replace but when the dealer did it, the removal of the old NAV and installation of the replacement NAV, the dealer did not have the NAV calibrated, consequently it always showed me starting in Detroit MI. I had them put back my original, and they still screwed up. It needed to be calibrated as now that one said I was 35 miles away at start up.

I ended up getting a new Genesis 3.8L Ultimate Package. I loved the car and the warranty, the dealers, all of them, still need good training.

Here's my issue.

Serached for N72 W17681 Good Hope Road .... I could not input the N72 W17681 portion of the address which caused me crash into the mall. (sarcasm)
