  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Free NACS Adapter Thread: Post Your Updates

Weird...
There seems to be a difference in the maps update that went out to the GV60s and the G80 EVs. In my update I now have the ability to toggle Tesla stations on and off like the other charging brands. Even when I do, none of the tesla stations show up in my car's navigation. I double and triple checked with the Tesla app and PlugShare and there are Tesla stations that are compatible with Genesis and allow non-Tesla to charge that should be showing in my car's navigation.
I'm not a software engineer but it seems the baseline map should be consistent between vehicles.
I've found the same on mine. If I search 'Tesla' in the nav I can find the known TSC stations close by. Additionally, the nav systems and software versions differ between G80EV and GV60.

Thanks DS9, Did you mean "cannot"? If so, it must be the model difference. If so I hope we get the "Tesla map" with our NACS adapter.
I agree, the software version has to be different because the two vehicles are running on a different GUI (Graphical User Interface). But I would think that the GUI would draw its information from the same baseline map. similar to how Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge will all display the same website in their own "screen".

Yup, no love here (MY23 Performance purchased 2/2023)

Manually typing 'Tesla' in search is the only way that I can see TSC stations. They don't appear in the charging menu even when I select 'Tesla' in the filters.

Still no email from Genesis yet, but I noticed they recently posted this video.

Interesting, they reference needing to have a payment method registered with Genesis Pay. I wonder why that would be, since really you're setting this up with the Tesla mobile app... Starting, payment, etc.

Yep, the Tesla app does everything right now (and will continue to do it), but a coming capability is Plug & Charge. See the post on that topic

Another Tuesday passed without an email. I am not so much in a hurry to receive the adapter as I am eager to make sure I am on the list. I understand supply delays, but the email doesn't guarantee a delivery time. I can't fathom the logic here.

Nothing yet for me in So Cal.

Accoring to the video it looks like GV60s get manual activation of battery conditioning too.

Unfortunately, they did not. It sure would be a nice addition. Genesis released this video stating it is for all of their EVs, but the menu options aren’t consistent across the lineup. The EV station brand filter screen doesn’t match what we see on the GV60 either.

This, exactly.

I certainly hope the GV60 gets an update to enable manual activation, but looks like the software screen shown in the video is for a G80 😳
