Genesis Free NACS Adapter Thread: Post Your Updates

I finally got my first email showing any indication that I am in their system. Has anyone received their adapter after getting this message.

I just received the same message, but not to the email account listed in my profile on the owner's site. It came to an email that I use exclusively for junk, or whenever you list a site and it asks for an email address. Just weird. At this point I don't believe a thing from a Genesis. They are appalling at customer service and communication with their customers. All of the so called "customer service agents" are apparently from some 3rd party call center reading a script. They have ZERO ability to affect anything.
 
Infuriating update: On 6/16 I was promised that I would receive my adapter by 12 weeks from that date. Well, those 12 weeks are up and crickets. So I reached out to customer service and they told me they were "escalating" my case (which they have said every time I have reached out) and now they are telling me I will receive the adapter in 16 weeks from the most recent date of escalation (9/9/25).

I'm trying to not lose my s$%t here but I'm struggling. This is insanity.

Is anyone else still waiting for there adapter and have not received any communication that the adapter is being shipped or on the way or am I the only one at this point?

I demanded to speak to an “executive resolution specialist” and eventually got the adapter shipped from Hyundai’s LA HQ via FedEx. Now these reps aren’t the top tier, but they have in the past moved issues up the ladder. 🤞 you get some quick resolution. GMA is a BROKEN organization from HQ in So Korea to So Cal. Just keep pushing if you have the time and energy and keep us posted.

Still waiting and I was working with an executive resolution specialist on another issue, who was unable to get one shipped. Like many others, I have been given a dozen or more broken promises. I did finally receive an email two weeks ago, which just reset the 12 weeks BS again…
 
Finally received ours a couple of weeks ago after several months from their first email. Had purchased the A2Z as backup, but never had to use it. Tested the A2Z once and it worked fine at a Tesla station. Hope I never have to use the Genesis adapter, either, but I consider it a necessity for road trips. Thank you, Genesis, for keeping your promise -- even it took months to deliver on it. And you can't beat the price.

Thank you for posting about your experience and your resolution and congrats on finally getting your adapter! I'm curious how you got to an "executive resolution specialist" - did you ask for that directly? Is your adapter is a Hyundai branded adapter?

Wow. Sorry to hear you are getting the same runaround I am. I just couldn't believe they casually responded with another 16 weeks in my case.

What absurdity.

I couldn't find the adapters for sale anywhere. Does anyone know if they are even available for sale?

They are simply kicking the dead dog down the street and hoping no-one notices the stench or simply gives up. I seriously don't care about getting a free charger. I just don't like being jerked around by false promises by anyone

My 16 weeks is tomorrow. Ironically it was not my first call but the ticket that they told me they were counting from. No ship notification, no tracking info, I doubt it will show up tomorrow!

I agree on the BS. I don't believe anyone on here has received one in the past few weeks. I think we are in a pause.

I was at an EV show this weekend. I spoke with Genesis, Hyundai and KIA owners who all had their adapters. The whole thing seems so random.
 
I called GCS on my commute home yesterday and got a similar message. According to my CSR the emails will continue go out until July 31st to Genesis owners that have a case that has been "escalated" prior to June 30th. When I asked what the complication has been the CSR replied that some emails did not transfer properly i.e. a character in the address was changed. This doesn't seem plausible to me since the transfer would be via a database query.
My gut tells me that Genesis is trying to wear us out until we forget or give up.

I'm glad I called GCS last night for an update on my case number.
Yesterday when I called the CSR informed me that my case number was closed!!! I have not received an adapter or a "Gift for You" email which she also confirmed but the case is closed. Figure that one out. While on the call the CSR confirmed my mailing address and placed me on the "16 week" to receive an adapter list. I would think that if I had an open case for not receiving an adapter, I would have been place on the list prior to closing the case.
Maybe the KPI for open cases was looking bad so someone randomly closed 1,000 cases.
Are you sure you counter started? I thought my counter would have started on July 31st when the promotion ended. Second choice would be when they indiscriminately closed my open case. Third choice would be August 12th when I called and found out my case was closed and they told me they were putting me on the 16 week list. Last choice is August 28th when I finally the "16 week" email.

This entire fiasco of a campaign is a case study in how to torpedo brand loyalty. Worst communication I have experienced from an OEM after having driven and owned vehicles from a dozen + OEMs over the years.

Complete and total lack of accountability, changing timelines - and no communication.

Every time I reach out to inquire as to the status of the adapter - I apparently have started a new 12-16 week clock. I'm apparently now into 2026.
