Replying to my own post.If a loaded G70 is ~54k USD...I cannot see the GV70 being much over 60k.
That’s my guess.
~6-8k more for some more metal...and some extra tech.
I haven’t checked lately...but what’s the price difference between a loaded A4 and a loaded Q5?
Even price difference between the new G80 and the GV80 (both loaded)?
I had some down time this afternoon.
I priced out a loaded 2021 A4 and a loaded 2021 Q5 (not the hybrid). The Q5 came out $3.5k more ($53.3k vs $56.8k). I was actually shocked.
I did the same for the new G80 and GV80...both loaded. The GV80 is $3.3k more ($68k vs $71.3k). So pretty darn close.
So...my guess is that the GV70 will be well below $60. Loaded G70 (current version) is $53.3k. GV70 will have the newer engine and more of the new tech...so lets say about $58k for the Sport.
If it goes over $60...I will be in shock and out of my price range. But...if they could nail it for about $57k...that would be f'ing brilliant and beat out the Q5 as the Audi does not have the free maintenance in the above price.
The only thing that blows up my theory is looking at the S.Korean site. I built the new G70 (still old engine and same tech) and the GV70. Both loaded Sports. I took both prices...converted to USD...but only to find the difference. The GV70 was about $12k more. I just cannot see that happening.
