Genesis Owners: What vehicle did your Genesis replace?

I traded in me 2007 Chrysler Crossfire Limited for my new to me 2012 Genesis 3.8 sedan. This car is so much more comfortable and quiet than the XF ever could be! I just picked up the car last week and it has been fantastic. I needed something that could haul the baby and things around and i really wanted to keep the rwd. Heck this car is even faster than the crossfire with an additional 800lbs.

I own several sports cars and wanted to move into a luxury sedan. The decision to sell one car and buy the 2017 Genesis G80, was not an easy decision. I sold my 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Editon Convertible. Sold for $40,000, added $7,500 to move into 2017 Genesis G80 RWD Premium & Ultimate packages in Patagonia Blue.

I had a '99 540/6 myself....you'll love the power of Rspec but suspension/handling is terrible compared to E39 540/6 with sport package.

Have a 2015 Genesis Signature that replaced a 20013 Infiniti G37xS. Infiniti was quicker and had an edge in handling but couldn't compare in comfort or value. I've reached an age where comfort has become more important to me and the Genny fills the bill with more than adequate handling and acceleration even with the 3.8 6 cyl. AWD.

My 2017 G80 3.8 Ultimate replaces my 2014 Genesis R-Spec. Very pleased with the new G80, even if I gave-up about 100HP.

Wife wanted my 2006 Sonata Limited, so I traded her 2013 Elantra GLX on a 2015 Genesis Signature.
There is excessive Hyundai-ness.

Gonna be two vehicles once all said & done. Have/had two VW diesels. A 2013 Jetta Sportwagen 2.0, which VW just recently bought back, and a 2009 Touareg 3.0 diesel. The money from the Jetta didn't come close to covering the cost of the Genesis. The expected money on the Touareg buyback, which I estimate will be July or August, will make up the shortfall, and then some. Got a 2015 5.0 tech, Montecito blue and gray interior. It's actually my wife's car. I love it too.

This is my first Hyundai. Replaced a 2004 Lexus ES330 with the 2010 Genesis 3.8 premium with navigation. The only thing I miss so far is my wood steering wheel!

Anyhow, my Genesis sedan replaced a 2014 Kia Optima Limited. The Optima was a lease and I turned it in prior to my deployment in the beginning of 2016. I got back early Feb this year and bought a 2015 3.8 AWD Ultimate. I'm VERY pleased with the car so far and am really impressed with the grown up feel and the ride quality. So far so good!
